And that concludes a great event by D3IP bringing 100+ visitors to the BattleLab as part of their Connected Vehicles expo. Speakers covered topics such as vulnerabilities of cars to data leaks, tracking, connecting with smart cities and there was some physics lesson right at the end exploring the art of the possible with drones in a certain scenario.

The #D3IPConnectedVehicles event has concluded! What an incredible day filled with many exiting speakers and innovative showcases. Throughout the day a variety of areas were covered, with three main topics including vehicle data, and what manufacturers are doing to advance and innovate, the security concerns of these vehicles and how they are being protected and finally what the future may look like for these connected vehicles and the direction we are headed in. A special thanks to all our speakers and showcasers, your efforts and insights were well received. We hope you all got as much out of it as we did. We can't wait to host you all again at the BattleLab in the Dorset Innovation Park for our next event in February 2025.

Most modern vehicles are fitted with infotainment systems which allow the driver to access a host of online services. Whilst this brings many benefits it also poses a risk that the sensitive data held in these systems may fall into the wrong hands. With our first group of speakers wrapped up, we moved to our first Q&A of the #D3IPConnectedVehicles Expo. Our audience asked some interesting questions surrounding the direction of autonomous vehicles and the risk factors of sharing locational data to support emergency services.
