Super impressed with the quality of builders and investors at the Women in AI event last night. This is the place to meet best-in-class AI leaders in London from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, and the most exciting startups in the space. Even better, they opened up the event for students to attend. Love that access to mentorship early on. Thanks to Dawn Capital for the invite!

Back in London and straight back into a flow of events. Last night I joined the phenomenal Yao Li and the Women in AI community at Dawn Capital for an evening of learning and inspiration. Great to meet so many women building in the space as well as some aspiring builders who were completing their A-levels! Some of the key takeaways for me are: - AI is going to be even more personalized - Verticalisation of AI is where value will be accrued - AI Spatial reasoning is the future - AI that truly solves problems that businesses care about will be the winners I'm excited! There are a lot of problems to solve and we are just getting started. Events like these are invaluable in bridging the gap between corporates, startups and investors. Today, I'll be with the women in Deep Tech and look forward to meeting more builders!

Should you be building or buying your GenAI products? Well... it depends on the use case... But ask yourself these things when making that decision: 1. Is my use case unique to how my business works? (e.g., email drafting is generic, document processing is likely to be more unique) Is there something already out there that would solve my problem? 2. How mission-critical is my application? Do I want to use off-the-shelf tools, or should I try to build something that sets me apart? What happens if the vendor disappears... how big an impact will this have on your business? 3. Do I want to build the underlying infrastructure as well as the application? Can I work with infrastructure providers that let me focus just on the parts of the app that are unique to my business? 4. Where do I need this deployed? Do I need to keep it within my private environment? 🤔 What else should enterprise buyers think about when deciding to build or buy GenAI products? Drop your thoughts in the comments! Thank you for the invite to the great event Dawn Capital, Zoe (Ziwen) Qin, Norman Fiore. And wonderful to be part of the conversation with Allie Gillon-Livesey and Tara L. Waters. P.S. I'm thrilled to note that this marked my first experience on an all-female panel where the focus wasn't on being a woman in tech. Progress in action! 🚀
