🚧 Progress Update: Project Oscar, Bideford 🚧 Great strides are being made at Project Oscar in Bideford, where we are delivering a brand-new Operational Services Centre for Torridge Council. This state-of-the-art facility will become the main hub for the council’s Operational Services teams, providing dedicated office space for employees working in waste & recycling and street cleansing. ♻️ In addition to office facilities, the site will also feature vehicle workshops and parking for the council’s fleet, ensuring efficient operations for essential services. Current Progress: ✅ Cut and fill and cartaway – an average of 42 lorries of surplus soil are being removed daily, with 14 lorries of stone brought in. ✅ Attenuation tank excavations underway. Upcoming Works: 🔹 Installation of land drainage under attenuation tanks (additional works outside our original tender). 🔹 Installation of attenuation tanks and associated backfill. 🔹 Excavation and concreting of footings. 🔹 Steel frame installation. It has been a long time coming but its great to continue working with #PlymouthCityCouncil and proactively delivering speculative, high quality, sustainable workspace schemes #creatingjobs #improvingtheeconomy. Following the successful completion of over 135,000sqft of employment space in recent years we are now firmly on site (thanks to securing a sizeable grant from the #UKGovernment via #Plymouthandsouthdevonfreeport) with the latest £8m scheme at Langage Business Park. This new commercial workspace scheme comprises c50,000sqft (biggest scheme yet for PCC) split into four new units (circa 8,000sqft to 22,000sqft) - targeting BREEAM Excellent and Net Zero Carbon these will be the best yet! The appointed main contractor #devoncontractors and the wider consultant and sub contractor teams are making great progress with ground and steelwork well under way. Due for completion Autumn 2025 it will be exciting to see progress over the next few months.
