Congratulations to Steven Crapps and Kenneth Cook on completing their Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Supply Chain Procurement Certificate Program. ASCM is the gold standard in supply chain certifications and the global leader in supply chain organisational transformation, innovation and leadership. In Q1 both Steven and Kenneth identified and agreed on setting the completion of this training by Q4. They both successfully completed the program in 6 months. Through the completion of the training both Steven and Kenneth are better equipped to develop improved strategic sourcing strategies and improve procurement policies. They are also better developed to engage in more effective contract management negotiations whilst also engaging in sustainable and ethical sourcing. Kenneth Cook takeaway- "I personally took away from the training a better understanding of supplier relationship building and management, including looking at things from a birds-eye view of the supply chain instead of the local view of day to day needs and scheduling." Steven Crapps takeaway- "Being ASCM Certified keeps myself and my team at the forefront of our industry. The supply chain is an ever-changing industry full of knowledgeable experts that look to grow in resiliency. With local and global supply issues changing so fast it dramatically shifts our strategies even more. Upskilling and new certifications are important for us in Procurement to stay at the front of our field. The ASCM curriculum is more focused on real-world applications as compared to many traditional educations. ASCM has decades of experience in the supply chain field, so solutions and concepts are more practical and less theoretical.
