Introduction to the DMCC Act 2024 - FREE Webinar for UK Businesses If you run a business that serves UK consumers, then the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers (DMCC) Act 2024 - which is due to be rolled out in 2025 - could affect you directly. You need to understand its implications, or you could risk hefty fines (up to 10% of global turnover for companies, or up to £300K for individuals). In the worst cases, you could even face imprisonment.

Dorset LEP have a couple of part-funded spaces left on the renowned Focused For Business Funding Accelerator Programme with Hatty Fawcett. Find out more from Hatty below but be really quick as this opportunity is coming to an end SOON.
Getting startups funded | Funding Accelerator for founders raising equity investment for 1st or 2nd time | Angel Investment | GBEA Finalist 2023/4 & Enterprise Nation Adviser of the Year 2022/3 (Funding)
Over the past 9 months I’ve been working with Shelley Collins-Trevett and Dorset LEP to give Dorset founders more opportunities for funding. What that means in practice is that Dorset LEP have been covering two-thirds of the cost (roughly £2k) for 7 wonderful Dorset-based businesses (Jo Spolton from Rumage, Nicholas Spence from Vaspba RPS Ltd, Steve Hayman and Stephen Dance from FindiFox, Francis Nichols from Tache Crafts Ltd, Richard Burkitt from Yammayap, Mike Rollason from Walx, David Heron from Direct Hiring Solutions) to take part in Focused For Business’s Funding Accelerator programme. It worked well - I think mainly because we’re aligned with our goals - We both want to make equity funding more accessible to Dorset based businesses (too much funding goes to London based businesses), and to help founders when they are in the early stages of building their businesses. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end though. The subsidy runs out in March, so our March programme is the last chance founders have to benefit from the savings. So if you are interested, let's speak ASAP! I’m running a Funding Workshop on Monday (24th), where you can run questions about the programme, and funding in general. Here's my calendar link to book onto it: https://lnkd.in/ev_5_7U6 Plus, if you’re an LEP looking to do something similar, please drop me a line 🙂
