So incredibly grateful to the Durham University Women In Technology group for having me lead an inspiring discussion today on demystifying tech career opportunities, advocating for minorities, and cultivating resilience! It was empowering to explore ways to build grit, resilience, and alliances for future success in the tech industry. I am a proud International Advisory Board member of the Durham University Business School because of the leadership skills student organizers like Lara Tatli, Allaida Siow, Kaalkidan Sahele, and Mariia Slobodianiuk exemplify. Should you wish to learn more about learning more about getting in touch as an alumni or what Durham University can do for you and your company, please feel free to reach out to Stephanie Osborne and Grace Norman. #WomenInTech #DiversityInTech #TechAdvocacy #ResilienceBuilding #Empowerment #physics #computerscience #psychology #law #quantum #UK #US #STEM

Earlier this week, I had the immense pleasure of organising Durham University Women In Technology's first Quantum Researcher Panel. The event aimed to demystify the world of quantum technology and inspire the next generation of female leaders in tech. The event started with an insightful talk from Ieva C., who delved into her career trajectory in quantum computing, her ongoing work on quantum algorithms at Phasecraft, and offered practical advice for those interested in the field. Following this, we had the pleasure of hearing from Cathy White, who delivered an inspiring talk on her career journey, her research in quantum optics and quantum key distribution at BT Group, and shared her perspectives on the future of quantum technologies. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our brilliant speakers, attendees, and university staff for making this event a success. Your enthusiasm and participation made all the difference. As the Networking Officer at DUWiT, I look forward to organising more events to inspire our members and connect our society with more women in tech. If you, or someone you know, are interested in contributing to our society, please don't hesitate to reach out! #technology #womenintech #quantumcomputing #quantumtechnology
