We're delighted to share that Eden Project Dundee has been Highly Commended in the Future Projects - Civic category at the World Architecture Festival in Singapore. The festival is the largest global live awards event for architects and designers and we are proud that the transformative and regenerative design of Eden Project Dundee has been recognised at the event.
AWARD UPDATE: Eden Dundee Project 'Highly Commended' at World Architecture Festival. --- The Eden Dundee Project shortlisted for World Architecture Festival Future Project Award will be presented in Singapore this week. FCBS’s design is set to transform a disused gasworks in Dundee’s docklands into Eden Earthworks. It will provide a place to explore how we can learn from and reconnect with nature to achieve a better future for people and the planet, encouraging visitors to recognise that they too are a part of the Earth’s ecosystem. https://lnkd.in/e6uvZfCt

Thanks to a wet, overcast summer and the hard work of our horticulturalists, we’ve the biggest display of chillies to date in our Mediterranean Biome. 🌶️ The display has over 300 plants made up of 34 different cultivars and represent all five of the major species of cultivated chillies. Their heat ranges from 0 up to a staggering 2.2 million on the Scoville heat scale – a worldwide system which measures the spiciness of chilli peppers (and other substances). Their scores are based on the levels of capsaicinoids identified - aka the chemicals responsible for the spicy taste and burning sensation when consumed. 🌡️ The hottest chilli we’re growing, achieving 2.2 million on the scale, is the Carolina Reaper, which you can see in the first photo. It’s 400 times hotter than a Jalapeno chilli pepper and stronger than some law enforcement-grade pepper sprays! Would you take on the Carolina Reaper?

We're proud to be hosting this inspirational event again at the Eden Project on 26–28 March 2025.
LET’S REBOOT BRITAIN This year we move forward as the UK’s largest leadership gathering focussed on the long-term vision for the UK… with an evolved major ambition. In 2021 Anthropy founder John O’Brien MBE saw that there was a particular moment in time, caused by the pandemic, to create a new national gathering of leaders to inspire positive change amongst future focussed leaders. This year, with a new political landscape, there is another moment in time - one to build greater collaborative activity between our cross-sector networks and also create greater influence with policy makers. We are delighted to announce our 2025 campaign message - which is not to suggest everything is broken in our country, it isn’t, but it is to suggest we have the chance to do things differently: Let's reboot Britain. 🔊Sound on🔊 Join us today and let us make the UK a brighter place for the next generation: https://lnkd.in/eUrkfgUd John O’Brien MBE 'Anthropist' | Kamal Ahmed | Juergen Maier CBE FRS FREng | Kelly Beaver MBE | Catherine Johnstone CBE | Ben Fletcher | Louise Gatenby | Sarah Walker-Smith | Jessica Taplin | Emma Sergeant | Seb Meaney | Paul Drechsler | Charlotte Hill OBE | Sir Anthony Seldon | Lord Dr Michael Hastings CBE | Ann Francke OBE | Dame Julia Cleverdon DCVO, CBE | Andy Jasper | Duro Oye | Louise Hellem | Will Hutton | Hetti Barkworth-Nanton CBE | Dave Allen | Tamara Box | Michael Wyrley-Birch | Piers Linney | Pinky Lilani CBE DL | Sophie Daranyi | Simon Yun-Farmbrough | Rob Doepel | Saima Rasool | Lucy Knill FRSA | Ronee Marie Walsh | Harriet Sturgess | Dr. Elizabeth O'Brien PhD MRSB FHEA FIBMS | Rosie Green | Yvonne Aitken | Omnicom #Anthropy #Anthropy25 #RebootBritain #economy #education #opportunity #health #wellbeing #arts #culture #democracy #society #places #nature #infrastructure #leadership
