Special recognition post! 📢 Last week, the world’s first lung cancer vaccine trials launched in seven countries, with the first UK patient being treated. This was a cumulation of a strategy to empower scientists and trialists, enabled by Dr. Lennard Lee- DPhil, FRCP, which confirms the UK as the best place for cancer vaccine research. His efforts include: ➡ Empowering the clinical community with emerging technological opportunities, ensuring the most efficient process to patient benefit. ➡ Designing and facilitating the NHS Cancer Vaccine Launchpad, a national system designed to streamline patient enrolment in cancer vaccine trials. ➡ This builds on lessons from previous successful programmes such as the NHS-Galleri trial, the lateral flow moonshot, and the UK COVID cancer programme.   The UK research community is now on course to place 10,000 people through trials by 2030, make significant scientific gains across all subtypes of cancer, and stimulate a global technological advance. We are delighted to share that Dr Lennard Lee, an outstanding academic clinician (University of Oxford) will be working on our Oxford University-EIT alliance. Lennard will lead our new EIT Oxford Clinic (opening in 2027) and establish it as a centre for innovation and healthcare excellence, setting a new standard for clinical care and research integration. It will deliver compassionate, technology-driven clinical care to cancer and preventive medicine patients. Congratulations Lennard - let’s dare to dream big how healthcare and technologies can be re-imagined!

This is your chance to show your potential to break new ground and contribute something truly innovative. Good luck! 🔬 1. Research Contribution: Your statement should outline the research you plan to contribute to the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford project and demonstrate how your skills and experience make you the right fit. 🎯 2. Outline your objectives: Think of this as a preview of the research proposal you’ll submit to the University of Oxford. Make sure to set out your specific aims and, if relevant, the key research questions for your field. 💡3. Originality and Understanding: We’ll be looking at the potential and originality of your proposed research. It’s crucial to show a deep understanding of your chosen topic. 📈 4. Showcase Your Progress and Vision: Reference any work you’ve already done and explain how your proposed research builds on this foundation, as well as existing work in the field.  🧠 5. Demonstrate innovation: We’re interested in seeing how you can push the boundaries and explore new ideas. It has been a pleasure working with the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford to support its expansion into an additional building at The Oxford Science Park (TOSP).   Already based at Fletcher House, EIT Oxford will take full occupancy of the adjacent Winchester House, which provides modern lab and office space across three floors. This phased move will be completed by the end of the year.   EIT Oxford is developing an impressive R&D campus, designed by Foster + Partners, which will be located to the north of their current premises.
