Another happy customer! Elyos Energy has saved 15% on the energy consumption of Bow School by remotely optimising the Building Management System. This is what Alex Jackson, the Director of Finance and Operations, had to say: “We have been very happy with the result of the Elyos platform. Elyos really took the time to understand the building and generate savings. Their software has been instrumental in getting our energy budget back on track. “ You can read all about it in our latest case study here: https://lnkd.in/eCr9ZDGe Bow is a large secondary school in East London for 1,250 students. Between 2023 and 2024 the school’s energy bill increased by 60% driven by the increase in cost of energy. Elyos Energy installed our Elyos Gateway to connect to the Building Management System and continuously download all the data points from the building in real time. We used Machine Learning to identify opportunities for savings. We remotely operated the BMS to optimize the scheduling, AHU parameters and set points. Elyos provided remote real time access to the BMS data for all relevant stakeholders. In the first 6 months of operations, Elyos reduced the energy consumption by 15% which generated a 5X Return on Investment.

Energy is responsible for almost 75% of global emissions. To achieve net-zero, we rely on nine key breakthroughs. As of October 1st all energy suppliers are required to make smart meter data available to business customers. This is a big step forward and will help businesses analyse their data and optimise their energy consumption. At Elyos Energy we use AI and Machine Learning to identify anomalies in this data and make recommendations.

How are we doing with decarbonising Manhattan? 🏙️ Only 35% of commercial properties in New York meet their 2030 targets under Local Law 97. The goal is to reduce emissions of the city’s largest buildings 40% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. 2024 will be the first year of reporting for LL97 (which sets carbon caps on buildings larger than 25,000 square feet). A big week already for UK energy - we've had the historic shutdown of the UK’s last coal-fired power station (after 142 years of coal-powered electricity) and the unveiling of the National Energy System Operator. We need to get the grid ready for the renewable shift and hopefully that's where the National Energy System Operator can help play a more strategic role in the energy transition.
