Our Business Development Manager, Safwan Hanash has recently been talking to The Guardian about our Sector based Work Academy Programme Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) - My Care Portfolio in partnership with Walsall College and West Midlands Combined Authority, which gives the chance for people who are unemployed to find a new career in health and social care. From jobseekers with little experience to hospitality workers made redundant during Covid-19, the My Care Portfolio is helping them back to work. The ladies from Embark Learning’s, current West Bromwich Health and Social Care cohort, have been to visit Smart Works this week! Can you tell? They are absolutely buzzing from the support they have received from the team at Smart Works Birmingham They received great interview techniques support and also the amazing outfits they are wearing. The Fairway Team are meeting the learners today for a ‘Getting to Know You’ interview so they can find out about their future aspirations for working in the Healthcare sector. The group are currently attending our 4 week course at Wood Lane Community Centre. 🎉 Celebrating Success with Embark Learning! 🎉 We were thrilled to present five awards to five exceptional candidates at our Moseley venue, all of whom came through our Embark Learning care employment programme via local job centres, including BSW, Kings Heath, Selly Oak, and Sparkhill. A massive congratulations to Paul, Chianti, Aaron, Henrietta, and Hina from Birmingham! 🙌 These incredible individuals started unemployed, completed their L1 Health and Social Care qualifications with us, and are now thriving in care roles, with some progressing into senior and permanent positions and their hard work has truly paid off progressing onto L2 & L3 Diplomas.
