🌍 Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay! At Ember and The SHM Foundation, #wellbeing is central to everything we do. 💚 We believe that to thrive as a team, we must uphold shared values. We prioritise care through practices like Reading Days to recharge, and foster connection through participatory leadership in an open, cooperative environment. #MentalHealthAtWork #WorkplaceWellbeing
🌍 Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay and at The SHM Foundation, we recognise that supporting each other’s #wellbeing isn’t just an ideal—it’s what we do every day. This year's theme, "Mental Health at Work", highlights the vital role of a healthy working environment. At SHM, our team culture is built on shared values that guide us: ✨ Care & Kindness: We prioritise looking after one another and the people we work with, dedicating time and resources to support the wellbeing of our team, partners, and participants. 🌐 Connection: Spanning over six countries, we know meaningful human connection doesn’t require being in the same room. We promote participatory leadership, collaboratively establishing our strategy and developing programmes in a close-knit, open, and cooperative environment. One of our favourite practices? Reading Days —a moment to pause, reflect, and recharge. And don’t forget our wellbeing mystery days —planned through a lottery system, offering surprise activities designed by the team to relax and bring joy. At SHM, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. #MentalHealthAtWork #WorkplaceWellbeing

Honoured to be sharing the space with another incredible organisation celebrating resilience! The outdoor photo exhibition at the Bloomsbury Festival goes live tomorrow —don’t miss it!
📢 Join us as ActionAid celebrates the power of resilience, strength and sisterhood when #WomenByWomen arrives at the Bloomsbury Festival in October. 📷 Our free outdoor exhibition at Brunswick Square Gardens champions women in front of and behind the camera who are shattering stereotypes and reclaiming the narrative about refugees. 🎞️ With a stunning collection of images captured by women photographers in Poland, Uganda, Bangladesh, Türkiye and Colombia, #WomenByWomen challenges how refugees are represented and tells a powerful story about the women who have faced displacement but are making a difference in their communities. The exhibition was created by ActionAid, thanks to funds raised by players of People's Postcode Lottery . 🗓️ Dates: 10 October - 28 October 📍 Location: Brunswick Square Gardens/Lansdowne Terrace Railings, WC1N 1AQ

What is the wellbeing support offered to Ember Partner Innovators? At Ember, we believe the #wellbeing of mental health professionals should be central to the #globalmentalhealth dialogue. Mental health carers in community-based initiatives in low-resource settings often experience significant psychological distress due to their work. Hence, we designed the Ember Wellbeing Fund, dedicated to supporting the teams of the community-based mental heath initiatives that are part of our cohort. How we provide and offer wellbeing support is diverse and mutifaceted, ranging from one to one therapy, away days, art therapy and team-building activities.
