Thanks to Geoffrey Guy FRGS for inviting us to the heartwarming event last Friday to celebrate the success of Riverlution’s latest cohort of Stewardship Skills Trainees at The Green Estate Community Interest Company Manor Oaks Farmhouse.
It was the perfect moment for us to present the ‘We Enjoy’ art canvas the first cohort created with local artist Ali Bird in 2022 through our We Make Art Happen Together community art project with Ignite Imaginations. The project went on exhibition that December in Sheffield Winter Garden where the curator of SHEFFIELD GALLERIES & MUSEUMS TRUST saw it and asked to borrow the original for the City of Rivers exhibition at Weston Park Museum, where it hung for almost a year.
We were delighted to gift the exact replica we had made. We Enjoy is one of our organisational values. Every time we look at the original, it reminds us how much we enjoy working with Riverlution and supporting training for careers in the environment through our EN:Able Futures flexi-job apprenticeships service. It was great to catch up with the EN:Able Futures apprentices and speak to them about how they’re enjoying their experience.
We’re proud to support Riverlution’s Stewardship Partnerships in Sheffield and Hull and opportunities to step in to land-based careers through EN:Able Futures' flexi-job apprenticeships.
