About us

Engine Shed is proud to be part of Bristol Innovations, the University of Bristol's catalyst for innovation. We exist to drive innovation in Bristol and the West of England that can have a positive impact to improve our world. Each year, over 30,000 people visit Engine Shed to make use of our workspaces and access our training and events. Through our membership programme, we also help people connect and collaborate with our extensive network of startups, industry, academics, government and community organisations. You’ll find us at Temple Meads station in the original terminus building designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We’re home to a Members’ Lounge, 5 meeting rooms, 4 event spaces, 3 coworking spaces and 18 offices. Engine Shed sits at the heart of Bristol’s Temple Quarter redevelopment scheme, which includes the University of Bristol's new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. The redevelopment will create 22,000 new jobs, 10,000 new homes and bring £1.6 billion a year to the city economy.
