We drive change so more young people choose engineering and technology careers.
About us
We are a not-for-profit that drives change so more young people choose engineering and technology careers. We don’t have enough engineers and demand is going up. So, we need more young people to realise there could be a future for them in engineering and technology. Many of them don’t understand what engineering is, what the opportunities are and the different ways to get into them. We have to do something to change that. To really thrive, we need a stronger, more representative workforce and for that we have to do things differently to make engineering more attractive. We want more young people to see engineering could offer them a varied and rewarding career. We work with hundreds of organisations so we can all grow the future talent pool together. We need more people and more diversity and we all have a part to play in achieving that. We bring together everything we offer schools under EUK Education. The EUK Education mission is to make it quick and easy for schools to access high quality science, engineering and technology careers inspiration.

Our second 'School report' is released today. ‘School report: What teachers know and think about routes into engineering and technology’ reveals outcomes from research conducted with 800 STEM teachers across the UK. We're encouraged by one of the key findings. When asked what the best route into engineering was, there was an even split between teachers: ✅ 36% said universities ✅ 36% said apprenticeships Becca Gooch, EngineeringUK's Head of Research, says: "Teachers are hugely influential in career guidance to young people... but more needs to be done on awareness of technical qualifications such as T Levels. The newness of some qualifications may have coloured teachers’ opinions of courses, so understanding their knowledge and perceptions of career paths into engineering and technology is important. Teachers need to be supported and equipped with the best knowledge on different career paths into engineering and technology and ensure they are not biased in offering information on pathways.” Read the second 'School report' and uncover more findings now ➡️ https://lnkd.in/en-j5Qe7 #FutureWorkforce #Research #Apprenticeships #TLevels
