Regional REIT Announces Joint Venture with Sunbird Solar to Power a Greener Future. We're excited to share our latest sustainability milestone! In partnership with Sunbird Solar International, we’ll be installing solar panels across a selection of properties within our portfolio, enhancing their appeal to tenants and reducing CO2 emissions by 713 tonnes. "We are delighted to be working with Sunbird on this important programme that reflects the Company’s significant ambition to deliver meaningful environmental enhancements. This important programme will reduce our portfolio’s carbon footprint and enable the properties to benefit from both lower maintenance and energy costs." ~ Stephen Inglis, Head of Public Markets. Phase one of our new joint venture with Sunbird will bring 4,173 kW of clean energy to 19 properties—equivalent to powering 1,270 UK households annually. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Debra Clark, Head of Wellbeing at Towergate Health & Protection, who hosted a fantastic interactive webinar on maintaining and building mental strength. We explored essential aspects of mental well-being, such as regular breaks and rest, exercise, social connections, and a balanced diet, along with work-focused strategies like prioritisation, setting boundaries, delegation, and asking for help when needed. We are excited to announce our partnership with IDEX Groupe to install solar panels on an XXL warehouse asset — marking the largest rooftop solar project in France this year. This installation will generate enough renewable energy to power approximately 3,500 homes and represents a significant step in ESR Group’s commitment to sustainable development. The Amiens Saint Sauveur (80) warehouse, ‘Som'Link’, is a state-of-the-art logistics asset with a total surface area of 118,403 m2. It was delivered in 2023 as part of the ESR Europe Real Estate Active Fund IV portfolio in France. This project builds on ESR Europe’s strong track record in European industrial and logistics sectors. In France, the platform has invested approximately €300 million over four years across 27 assets, covering the entire logistics value chain, from urban logistics to XXL platforms.   ‘Decarbonising the energy footprint of our buildings is part of ESR's DNA. Each day we work with our partners to improve the efficiency and quality of our assets.
