    Garbage in, garbage out. Have you ever wondered where your Digital Shelf Analytics provider gets their data from? Many Digital Shelf solutions base their analytics and insights on data they don’t gather themselves, outsourcing this effort and relying on data purchased from somebody else.     Ever wondered which brands are crushing it on Amazon Prime Day—and why? This time, we touched on the Toys & Games category and looked at how the top players approached their discount strategies across the UK, USA, and Germany. We know today’s shoppers love discounts, but do the deepest discounts always win? Not necessarily. This latest Amazon Prime Day revealed a winning pattern in the Toys & Games category: a carefully curated set of promo products and discounts. While brands like Disney and Nerf offered deep discounts (up to 79% and on average deeper than the category) on fewer, selected products, brands like LEGO and Crayola played a different game. On Amazon.com, LEGO’s average discount was 22% and Crayola’s was 29% (which is at or below the category average). However, both brands featured more products on promo compared to other toy brands (as many as 77 for LEGO and 24 for Crayola), catering to diverse interest groups, price points, and buyer needs. The result? LEGO dominated the Best Sellers list across markets, especially in Germany, where over half of the Top 100 Best Sellers were LEGO products. Meanwhile, Crayola was the most popular brand in the US Best Sellers and the second most popular in Germany. What surprises you most about these Prime Day trends?
