How the pandemic changed perceptions of #digitalfashion and #innovation . Another post from our FIA10 celebration last week - this was the first time that the whole Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion team has been together on stage at one time 🙌🏽 One of the questions was about how external factors like the pandemic change the types of projects that we do at FIA. It was nice to be able to describe the shift that we've seen as a team from looking for projects that other people wanted to work on, to putting out ideas that we want to work on and bringing in collaborative partners from industry. It has been amazing to see the team's reputation and expertise grow over the years to the point where our views on where we think the future of #fashion and #technology are headed are enough to persuade #industry partners to jump on board and innovate with us. It was a pleasure to be able to share stories as a team, from our own points of view, to an audience of friends and collaborators from across the last decade. On Thursday 13th June, our team at Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion was delighted to celebrate 10 YEARS of #innovation in #fashion and #technology We hosted a series of panel discussions at our home in London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London's EastBank campus, featuring a wide range of experts and luminaries across multiple different technologies and companies, as well as representation from within our own team. Discussions were lively, and I think we all came away learning something new. Then we finished the evening with a party on the 10th floor, with some of our nearest and dearest collaborators, friends and colleagues in the fashion-tech space. Feeling so proud of everything we have achieved so far and looking forward to sharing what is to come over the next few years. "Fixing the Fashion Industry Through AI and Social Innovation" It was a pleasure to take part in this podcast alongside my wife Brooke Roberts-Islam, hosted by my good friend and former colleague Jade McSorley for Clean Cut TV. We covered a broad range of topics spanning #innovation #sustainability #AI and #greenwashing, spilling some tea and home truths along the way. There were also shout-outs to our respective projects at Fashion Innovation Agency at London College of Fashion and Techstyler. This conversation was a very passionate one (!!) and it was great to have the opportunity to speak alongside Brooke on this podcast - she's a fearsome and respected expert within the #fashionindustry , with an incredible knowledge of all things sustainability, manufacturing and supply chain within #fashion.
