Recycle Week starts today with E-Waste Day! ♻️ The UK is a major producer of electronic waste, and a growing concern is the improper disposal of lithium-ion batteries. Over 1,200 fires at waste facilities last year were caused by these batteries. Two of our own First Mile trucks caught fire this year due to incorrect battery disposal, putting our team and the public at risk. The good news: batteries can be safely recycled. Households can find nearby recycling facilities, and businesses can work with trusted waste providers for proper battery and WEEE recycling services.
