We recently completed a primary tank refurbishment within a water treatment works site. The existing coatings had failed in several places, debonding and blistering. All coatings were removed using various grinding / scabbling hand tools with necessary vacuum attachments. All works were completed within a live water treatment works site without any disruptions to day to day operations. Reflecting on my whirlwind trip to Ireland last week, I'm amazed at how much I accomplished! 🍀 From touching base with our distribution network in both Belfast and Dublin to visiting #McFarlands & #Amphora Structural Engineers, the trip was packed with action. I wrapped up by checking out the site where Mark McCann and the #GMP Industrial Flooring team applied our #Monolevel844SP, #CemprotecE942, and #CemprotecEFloor on several biofuel bunds, ensuring a durable, waterproof finish. We’re delighted that our Flexcrete Technologies Limited Monodex Smooth coating was chosen to protect the iconic Northwood House in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. This Grade II* listed Georgian manor house has a rich and royal history of hosting events and celebrations of all kinds and is looked after by Northwood House Charitable Trust Co. Ltd. For the past eight years, the charity has made it its goal to restore Northwood House and estate to its former glory. Resapol's Southampton branch supplied our Monodex Smooth coating system to preserve, protect and make the building look spectacular. The house sits high above the Solent facing strong salt laden storms. The 1830s substrate - primarily lime mortar and following over 170 years of patching - was showing its age. The large external domed rotunda has been protected with a three coat Monodex Smooth coating system, and it has also been applied to the main rotunda car park and the exterior of the 1840 servant’s quarters which were unpainted for at least the last 50 years. Northwood House Charitable Trust Co. Ltd were said to be extremely impressed by the robustness and quality of Monodex Smooth, as well as the service and technical advice supplied by Resapol Southampton. The project has also been recognised further afield, with the house receiving a RIBA Certificate for Merit for Conservation and Heritage 🌟 🌟 🌟 #construction #heritage #conservation
