“Humans Are Meant to Be in Relationships” In this episode of We Need To Talk, I have a heartfelt conversation with renowned trauma expert Dr. Gabor Maté about the complex dynamics of attachment, trauma, and the choices we make in our relationships. We explore: - Why people enter abusive relationships. - Healing paths for trauma. - The true impact of the placebo effect. - The importance of choosing the right partner. - How our bodies signal relationship health. - Dr. Maté’s insights on why women often feel pressured to say “yes”. And a lot more! Can relationships impact a person’s physical health? Does early trauma shape the relationships people become involved in? You’re going to want to watch today’s episode to find out…🫨 Dr Gabor Mate, We Need To Talk. Watch our full conversation here now: https://lnkd.in/eSzuxcDz

Last week we launched our brand new Flight Studio show, here’s what happened (a LinkedIn diary entry if you will): - On Thursday, we released the first episode of Begin Again, hosted by the marvellous Davina McCall and the entire company came together to countdown the launch in person. It’s these moments that cement why we believe it’s so important to be in person first. You can’t replicate that feeling. - On Friday, Davina and I headed to Leicester Square to see her very first podcast billboard. By the end of that same day, Begin Again had skyrocketed to become the #1 podcast in the UK on both Apple and Spotify (and hasn’t budged for 3 days) - In just 24 hours, we achieved over 3 million organic social impressions and shot from 0 to 40,000 followers across social platforms. Of course that doesn’t ‘just happen’ as some may have you believe. The reality is: - For 3+ months before we’d been planning, creating, re-creating, writing, briefing, filming, scrutinising and seeding content. - For 4 years before, we’d been building the blueprint. I’m not sharing these numbers to brag (although Stefanie reminded me that I should be - an important reminder to f*ck being humble) I’m sharing them because there’s a crucial lesson here: success in content & launches doesn’t come from crossing your fingers and hoping the algorithm works in your favour. It’s not about ego or guesswork which I still see and sigh about every single day. It’s about understanding the science behind it—using data, first principles, and constant experimentation over a long period of time. And then challenging everything you think you know, often. At Flight Studio we’re not just making podcasts; we’re building legacy shows, scaling deeply engaged communities, and developing brands that last. So although the 24 hour snapshot validates my thesis of content being formula driven, we have a long way to go. And this is only the beginning. Ps. Have you seen the launch? Or the first episode? Would love to hear what you think !! Thank you for bringing my whacky briefs & ideas to life Jason Fisher & thank you to the whole team who’ve worked on this show, for your constant bar raising and challenge to do better. I’m inspired at every stage of this baton race to do your work justice! Jemima Erith Cossie Lewis Grace Miller Georgie Holt Christiana Brenton Isaac Martin India Leishman Ellie Hague Shane Winckworth & so so many more 🤍

    TV Presenter | Begin Again

Hi Linkedin… this is a first for me, but I have some news!!!! 🚨 I am very excited because I can finally announce, after months of planning, recordings and amazing conversations… my brand new podcast is launching this week! Time to Begin Again. It doesn’t matter where you are right now, it is never too late to begin again. This podcast isn’t about me knowing all the answers. It’s about us. It’s about us walking this journey together and believing that we are never finished. Everyone. And I really mean EVERYONE, can begin again. The very first episode will be live on Thursday, and if you click on the link in the comments below we’ll send you all the details, so you don’t miss it. The conversations we’ve recorded have brought me to tears, made me howl with laughter and inspired me in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I am so incredibly proud of what we’re creating and I can’t wait for you to feel it all so soon. Davina x

It takes a village. This is the exact moment Flight Studio released our first podcast show into the world after months of development, conversations, re-shoots, edits, pivots, failures, learnings and baton passing. You can now stream the remarkable first episode of We Need To Talk With Paul Carrick Brunson - your new favourite dating & relationships show - wherever you get your podcasts. I love a launch, but I love even more so that it means we now get to build in public as opposed to behind closed doors. So incredibly proud of what this team have pulled together, and whilst it’s important to mark these moments, the fact that we are truly, truly… just getting started, is what sets me alight. & I’ll probably get cancelled for this but IN MY OPINION, nothing beats the feeling of building this together in person. There are podcasts, and then there are Flight Studio shows. Here we go team! Georgie Holt Christiana Brenton Jason Fisher Isaac Martin Jack Sylvester Jemima Erith Ross Field Lauren Llewellin Kayley Carvalho Ellie Hague Rachel Hardy Jessica Rea Adam Dyson &so so many more.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 After months of hard work, learning, and deep conversations, it is a wonderful privilege to finally share We Need to Talk with the world - my brand new podcast show. Why am I so excited about this? ❤️ 1. First, it’s the learning. I have absolutely loved all of the research that goes into each guest, from reading books to watching TED Talks and discovering so much about new worlds for me. It’s been an incredible opportunity to learn from some of the most brilliant minds and inspiring individuals out there. Whether they’re experts or familiar faces, they’ve each brought a fresh perspective, and I’ve been humbled by how much I’ve personally gained from these conversations. 2. Second, it’s about the stories. I’m truly excited about how we’re sharing these conversations with the world. It’s not just about offering new insights (of which there are many) it’s also about showing people in a way they’ve never been seen before. There are guests you may know, but we’re shining a new light on their stories and experiences. We’re capturing sides of them that haven’t been revealed before, and I believe that’s incredibly special—not just for the audience but for the guests themselves. There’s something powerful about being seen in a new way, being understood on a deeper level, and in many ways, being affirmed. 3. And finally, I can’t talk about this podcast without talking about the team. I brag about the Flight Studio team to everyone. I’ve worked with many teams over the years, but this one is truly exceptional.  It’s rare to find a group where every single person is so passionate and I’m so proud of the work we’ve created together. What can YOU expect? 👀 At its core, We Need to Talk is about one thing: improving your relationships. Every week, I’ll be having conversations that bring together practical experiences and theoretical insights to help you understand and strengthen the relationships that matter most—whether they’re personal, professional, or even the one you have with yourself. These conversations will be filled with actionable advice, grounded in both real-life experiences and expert knowledge, so that you can apply what you learn to your own life. So now you know, who should we have on the podcast?? Drop your guest suggestions below!! 👇🏾👇🏾 I’m so excited to have you on this journey with us. The first episode is coming very soon. Here we go! 🚀

Head of Failure and Experimentation at Flight Studio for Steven Bartlett & The Diary of a CEO

THIS is Toyota's secret to encouraging failure within their team 👀 💡 The Andon Cord… It all starts with the principle of Jidoka, which is ‘automation with a human touch’. This means to automatically stop if a defect or problem is detected, which prevents the defect from passing downstream where it will cause bigger and more costly problems. Toyota’s ‘human’ touch element of Jidoka is, The Andon Cord. Toyota view every team member as an expert in their field and any one of them is permitted to stop the production line if they notice something they perceive to be a threat to the end product quality – and they do this by using the Andon Cord. Being able to “stop the line” to prevent an issue getting worse, stop a defect passing downstream, suggest an idea for improvement or asking for help in the heat of the moment, is crucial for success. By “pulling the cord”, you’re interrupting others work, asking for their help, possibly pointing out bad news, but most importantly, improving something. But when someone at Toyota pulls the cord, the first thing their co-workers do is come over and thank the person who pulled the cord - this is fascinating because the consequences of something as significant as stopping the production line could deter people from speaking up when something is wrong, but Toyota make sure to thank people when asking for help or pointing out a potential flaw. 👏🏼 Toyota have built a culture where psychological safety within their teams is paramount by allowing them to pull the Andon Cord when they believe they need to and then thanking the individual. An environment where everyone feels safe to speak up and encouraged to do so is one of the reasons why Toyota has revolutionised the manufacturing industry and ultimately become one of the biggest companies in the world. So, I question you…What is your Andon Cord? How do your team share when they think something could be changed or improved for a higher quality end product or service? And how is this received and acknowledged by the team? 👇🏼

Brand partnership Founder of FLIGHT: Flight Fund. Flight Studio. Flight Story. Thirdweb. The Diary Of A CEO.

Video content isn’t going anywhere. In fact the stats show that… In 2024: - Video content will make up 82% of internet traffic. - Nearly $100 billion will be spent on video marketing. - 88% of people would like to see more video content from brands. But what’s the secret to standing out in a crowded digital landscape? I asked our Director Of Trailers Anthony Smith to explain how we cut through the noise with our video content at The Diary Of A CEO & Flight Studio 👇🏾 You may know that we have a culture of experimentation, finding 1% gains & sweating the small stuff. It’s why partnering with Epidemic Sound just makes sense (for us and many of the biggest brands in the world like DAZN, Lionsgate and Warner Bros) They aren’t just another music provider; they own all music rights, ensuring your videos are safe from copyright strikes across all channels, globally. Which means our incredible editors are enabled to find the 1%s, sweat the small stuff and can get back to focusing on what they do best: creating the magic. Creating videos couldn’t be easier with Epidemic Sound. Head to https://lnkd.in/eBr43Qik to try it out & let us know how you get on 🙏🏽 Ant and I will be replying to any of your content / video questions in the comments!

Marketing & Brand Director at Flight Studio - home to The Diary Of A CEO 🎤 Social Media, Marketing and Podcast obsessed.

ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 🤭 3 and a half years ago I started working for a podcast with 5000 subscribers that sat around number 50 on the UK charts. And for the past 3 and a half years I’ve had the enormous pleasure of building, learning and disrupting with the most phenomenal people I’ve ever met. Together we’ve reached more people than I can comprehend across numerous channels all over the world and sit in the top 3 podcasts globally. But we’ve also built product, brand and IP. So when Georgie Holt & Christiana Brenton joined us to create Flight Studio and asked at the start of the year how I felt about doing it all over again, from scratch, with incredible thought leaders disrupting their respective industries, I said… I couldn’t be more excited 🤝 So it’s a surreal and incredible moment for me to be able to finally share that I’ll be leading on all things Brand and Marketing for Flight Studio - of course still building The Diary Of A CEO but also working with Paul, Kristen, Davina, Africa & Dr Tara Swart Bieber (& more to be announced 🤐) to create globally renowned podcasts, brands, events, products, communities on and offline & distributing them as far as the eye can see. We’re going from 1 show to a media & entertainment company (so please bear with if I’m a little slow replying to messages right now 😅) and I could not be more excited to be on this journey with this incredible team. Keep your eyes peeled for launches coming VERY soon 👀

For this team it’s not doing the bare minimum, it’s about how can we be the best in the world at what we do and change lives. The past two and a half years has gone by in the blink of an eye and I am insanely excited for this adventure with Flight Studio led by Georgie Holt and Christiana Brenton where we will not only be home to Steven Bartlett’s, The Diary Of A CEO but will also be creating magic with talent who are the best in their fields like Paul Carrick Brunson, Dr Tara Swart Bieber, Africa Brooke, Kristen Holmes and Davina McCall.
