About us
Food Bank Aid is a grassroots charity tackling the daily challenge of food poverty in London. We collect donations of food, toiletries, and household goods and redistribute them via our food bank network to where they're needed most. Food banks remain in desperate need of donations with increasing numbers of households relying on them each week, especially due to the cost of living crisis. Food Bank Aid currently supports 32 food banks which in turn helps over 20,000 people per week. We work hard to help families put nutritious food on the table every day. To help elderly people who cannot manage on their own. To help thousands of people who have lost their jobs this year and who are choosing between feeding their kids or feeding themselves. We currently have 50+ drop off points for donations across North London for anyone wishing to donate food or household goods. A new report by Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) says it best: "Meeting basic needs alone is not enough for people to thrive.
