Over the last month, we’ve had the privilege of working with a group of students from the University of Warwick, Monash University Malaysia, and Monash University Australia through the TeaMWork programme! Following a project brief from our team at Force of Nature, the group of students worked together across the course of four weeks to deliver a brilliant presentation full of actionable ideas that we are excited to implement in the future. It was a pleasure to work with both the students and the organisers. A special thank you to Tori Reynolds for giving us the opportunity to get involved! #MonashTeaMWork #WarwickTeaMWork #MonashWarwickAlliance #VirtualInternships

It’s not too late! ✨This year we’re partnering with 5 universities to bring student cohorts through our skills-based trainings for young people. Our training programmes are aimed at helping those aged 16-35 develop the skills to make a difference in the climate crisis and feel empowered to do so.🌱 🗓️ These trainings will be run entirely online over 7 weeks in September-October, with both live sessions and self-paced learning to fit student schedules. ✍🏽We’re also ensuring all partner universities get access to a live CPD workshop for your teachers & staff to help them support young people in navigating climate-related emotions, as well as a facilitated reflection call for your cohort. 🤝Interested in partnering with us? With only a few University partner places remaining, please reach out to: partnerships@forceofnature.xyz we’d love to speak to you!

The first half of 2024 has brought about many opportunities for growth and change for our team. After several months of searching for the ideal candidate to fill the role of Executive Director, we’re so proud to announce that we’ve finally found someone that we feel truly fits the bill. 🌱A little bit about our new Executive Director: Kat Hamilton (they/them) was previously our team’s Programmes and Partnerships Director and has been with us for 3 years. They hold a deep understanding of Force of Nature as an organisation, as well as the culture, vision and values that we aim to uphold. ✨We couldn’t be more excited for the second half of this year and beyond with Kat as our new Executive Director!✨ They’ll be leading the team alongside Phoebe Hanson (she/her) and Megan Stillwell (she/her). ℹ️ For more information on our team, check out our team page here: https://lnkd.in/dnbTequ

Last week, we hosted our live Continued Professional Development (CPD) workshop with an amazing turnout of 25 wonderful educators and youth support workers! We’re so grateful to everyone who attended the session and helped us to fund the work we do with young people. We acknowledge the importance of educators, concerning both sharing the realities of the climate crisis whilst also safeguarding young people’s mental health, and we’re thrilled that we could facilitate a space to help you navigate this difficult work. Participants shared with us that they left the session feeling: - Inspired - Energised - Empowered - Reassured - Hopeful - And connected! If you want to get involved, we’ll be sharing more information very soon on how you can join one of our future CPD sessions!

My training with Force of Nature has been life changing both in professional and personal environments. It has enabled me to help people better understand the unaddressed, emotional burdens that come with living through these challenging times. But it has also enabled me to help others find the agency to play our part. Would you like to help young people, students in education, or communities become more empowered to take action? Join this upcoming workshop I'm co-facilitating on 3rd June! Below is a link to the event listing. Message me if you have any questions!
