What do we do at Frameworks UK? We work with partners to communicate about social issues in ways that help create progress. In practice, this work can take many forms and include resources like toolkits and briefings, workshops and coaching programmes that equip people with how to use framing in practice, and strategy support to mobilise a movement behind a new story. And all of this is informed by our robust framing research on a range of issues such as health, homes, and children and families. Keep up-to-date with our latest work and get framing tips direct to your inbox by signing up to our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eEDK-F4B

#MadeInSocialHousing was a win for campaigning and framing this Budget. Our Executive Director, Kate Stanley, explains three powerful framing tools used by the team at Shelter: 1. There’s a range of stories from different people – from Suggs to father and son Shandor and Billy. This adds scale and makes it much harder to dismiss a story as a one-off exception 2. The stories bring what ‘home’ really means to life. They speak to how our homes shape us, and how they allow us to build a life 3. They tell a story that goes further than calling out the housing crisis. They paint a picture of something to fight for. This builds a sense of efficacy – that it is possible to build a new generation of social homes. Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/etjQzYst

'Your strategy is not your communications strategy' - this statement took me years to *really* get. When organisations do really get it - what a difference it makes. Here's a tribute to Shelter ‘s campaigning - who *really* get it!:

Did you catch the first episode of Prince William: We Can End Homelessness last night? It's fantastic to see the #Homewards initiative of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales working to change the narrative. Homewards is focused on improving understanding about the different forms of homelessness, shifting perceptions and boosting optimism that homelessness can be ended. Take a look at this one-page guide we created for Homewards last year. It summarises the recommendations from our extensive work with Crisis on how to talk about homelessness, and provides a quick introduction or reminder on how to frame your communications: https://lnkd.in/epamrPRc
We’re pleased to announce that Prince William: We Can End Homelessness will be available to stream on Disney Plus. The two-part documentary follows the first year of #Homewards- a five-year programme founded by The Prince and The Royal Foundation which aims to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness. Airing in the UK on ITV and ITVX on the 30th and 31st of October at 9pm, the documentary will also now be available to stream globally from the 1st of November on #DisneyPlus. Homewards Advocate, Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton, recently spoke to Good Morning America to give a preview of the documentary and why she wanted to be a part of Homewards. We're delighted to be teaming up with Neil Crowther and partners for this next chapter of telling a powerful story about adult social care, why it matters and what needs to change. Neil's blog is a great insight into the story so far, and what's next. #SocialCareFuture #NarrativeChange #SocialCare
As #SocialCareFuture, in partnership with Think Local Act Personal, the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, and the Local Government Association, opens a new chapter on our work to shift the dominant narrative and mindsets about adult social care, I've written about the journey here, about what we're doing next and about everyone's power to help tell a better story.

This is a great explainer from Louise Marshall and our friends at The Health Foundation. It shows how understanding mindsets around health - and tracking how they are changing over time - can inform how we campaign for change and, crucially, when we should ramp up these efforts.
