🌑 Rusty House - Night shots 🌑 Rusty House, a 1950s property in Peckham’s Holly Grove Conservation Area, has been reimagined to blend modern comfort, sustainability, and respect for its historic setting. Inspired by the client’s desire to expand rather than move, the renovation enhances thermal efficiency, living spaces, and design. The home features ultra-slim sliding doors, frameless glazing, and unique 77° glass-to-glass corners connecting indoor and garden spaces, maximizing light and panoramic views. Clad in Corten steel, which complements the original brickwork, Rusty House pairs aesthetic harmony with sustainability through triple glazing, advanced insulation, and locally sourced materials, creating a timeless architectural statement. Driven by the client’s vision to expand rather than relocate, the renovation focuses on thermal efficiency, enhanced living spaces, and refined design. Key elements include ultra-slim sliding doors and frameless glazing throughout, with distinctive 77° glass-to-glass corners on both ground and first floors. These precise angles seamlessly connect the kitchen and dining areas to the garden, while the first-floor frameless windows extend the design’s openness, enhancing natural light and maximizing panoramic views. This approach creates a harmonious indoor-outdoor flow, blending contemporary elegance with the property’s historic charm.
