🌟 Exciting Milestone for GAA Design! 🌟 We are thrilled to announce a major achievement in the redevelopment of 375 Bath Road, Slough. Our project has received planning committee consent as of December 2022, making us the first to get permission in this rejuvenation area—a significant milestone that sets the foundation for future developments aimed at revitalising the region. The project entails the construction of an eight-storey apartment block featuring 91 apartments, with 18 designated as affordable housing units, in line with our commitment to the community. As part of this endeavour, the developer will also contribute £300,000 under Section 106 agreements to support local infrastructure and services. We are dedicated to promoting eco-friendly transportation by providing ample parking facilities with 52 spaces, 30% of which will be active EV charging stations. Additionally, we are creating 92 cycle parking spaces, aligning with our sustainable transport philosophy. Navigating the long planning process has demonstrated our ability to secure consent and deliver tangible results. This achievement is not just a milestone for our firm but a pivotal step towards the transformation and revitalisation of the Bath Road area, showcasing our commitment to excellence. Reflecting on our achievements at Lansdowne Avenue! We are thrilled to share some fantastic news regarding our proposals on Lansdowne Avenue. GAA Design has been appointed as the architect for not just one but two significant schemes located opposite each other on this prominent avenue. Lansdowne Avenue Success: We've obtained planning consent for an innovative project featuring 33 apartments, with construction set to begin in Q3 2024. This achievement was a testament to our dedication and proficiency in delivering outstanding results. Our exceptional progress on the eastern side of Lansdowne Avenue caught the attention of the client opposite the application site. Impressed with our work, they approached us to collaborate on their project. This development underscores the growing recognition and appreciation of our capabilities within the industry. Celebrating Morris's Retirement from GAA Design It is with a mix of gratitude and sadness that we announce the retirement of Morris Sless, a true cornerstone of GAA Design, after seven years of exemplary service. Since joining us in August 2017, Morris has been a driving force behind some of our most iconic projects. His vision, creativity, and leadership have shaped not only the skyline but also the careers of countless architects who have had the privilege to work alongside him. On June 27th, we celebrated Morris's incredible career with a special dinner, reminiscing about his achievements and the many memories we’ve shared. As Morris steps into this new chapter of his life, we celebrate his remarkable career and the legacy he leaves behind. Our visit to Mitcham Road, situated right across from Tooting Broadway, provided us with an opportunity to see the progress of our project involving the construction of 19 apartments. We were delighted to witness that the project is approaching its final stages. It's worth mentioning that GAA Design successfully obtained the necessary planning consent for this project. Notably, the local Councillors recognized the ingenuity of the S106 offer, which was one of the most innovative they had come across. This offer played a crucial role in unlocking the site's potential and making the project economically viable. Our collaboration with YS Associates was highly productive, and we take pride in successfully delivering this project on behalf of Glasshouse Asset Management. #gaadesign #planning #construction
