Improving your vendor performance is impossible unless you actively measure it. But measuring is impossible when you rely on manual data entry into spreadsheets. Which is one of the reasons we created Smart Forms. 1 - Ask questions. 2 - Get responses. 3 - Automatic scoring of responses. 4 - Vendor review and improvements. Rinse and Repeat using automation. This is how to ditch the busy work. And get incredible data that improves how you work with your vendors. Check it out in our webinar here: https://lnkd.in/eGy4XhM7

Procurement is evolving. Less focus on cost savings to a strategic, value-driven function. This doesn’t get rid of savings as a value generator. It means we don’t just push for savings without considering the wider picture. Consider this: -Modern procurement involves managing the entire lifecycle, from sourcing to relationship management, contract management, and TPRM. -Adding value, reducing risks, and supporting business goals. -The future of procurement is collaborative and strategic. Moving beyond the old-school mentality to embrace the future of procurement. Who’s with us?

Procurement contracts are littered with definitions that add to the risk, not reduce it. If your internal stakeholders and vendors don’t understand their definitions and how the contract operates, you’re building in risk. We saw this during Covid. Force Majeure clauses were so tightly worded that they excluded pandemics and epidemics. We haven’t seen everything that is going to happen. Tightly worded definitions aren’t always the right option. But the ordinary meaning of the word might just be. What’s your approach to definitions in your vendor contracts?
