  • Building Better!   February has been a busy month for Gilbert-Ash.   We welcomed a number of project management students from Liverpool John Moores University to get an onsite look at our work at Tate Liverpool.   Our team provided the students with an overview of the project and some of the fascinating technical, ESG, social value and project management challenges we will be overcoming in our efforts to deliver yet another iconic building.   A key focus of our ESG strategy to 2030 is to help increase the number of young people with relevant skills for employment and tours such as these are an excellent way to show students real world innovation and collaboration in action.   Our HR Manager, Ciara McKevitt  also spoke at Cooperation Ireland Future Leaders Lunch at Hinch Distillery.     We were also present at a number of events throughout the month including the BITC Community Connections Conference at All State, the highly informative Northern Ireland Neurodiversity in the Workplace Conference 2025 and QUB’s Annual Sustainable Construction Conference 2025 to consider how we can prioritise the re-use of buildings in the transition to a net zero future.   Learn more about our ESG Strategy on our website: https://lnkd.in/dkRSCm2N #GA #AsOne #ESG #BUILD

  • We’re celebrating the beginning of construction of a flagship Premier Inn in Dublin’s Clerys Quarter.  Gilbert-Ash has been appointed as the principal contractor for the development which will play an important role in the regeneration of one of Dublin’s most iconic department stores. The 229-bedroom hotel is found in the heart of the city, just off O’Connell Street at Earl Place and will form part of a mixed-use development of Clerys Quarter, a new city centre destination that will regenerate Dublin’s landmark street.  Whitbread Property the owner of the Premier Inn chain, says this construction, one of its most high-profile in Ireland, is part of growth plans that will deliver 5,000 hotel rooms in Ireland. Gilbert-Ash’s scope of works at the former warehouse site include the construction of an eight-storey hotel plus basement and roof, with restaurant and reception on the ground floor.  #GA #AsOne #ClerysDublin #PremierInn

  • Building Better! The new year has kicked off in style for Gilbert-Ash with our incredible work redeveloping Havelock House in Manchester receiving a BREEAM Outstanding rating.  Less than 1% of non-domestic buildings achieve this recognition and it is the first time a GA project has received this level of accreditation! We are also delighted to have been confirmed as a CCS Contractor Partner. A key focus of our ESG strategy to 2030 is to raise standards and build public trust in the construction industry and this partnership will help us work towards our targets. And, we also attend the Women In Business Chair’s Lunch at Titanic Belfast. GA were one of more than 400 businesses from across Northern Ireland who attended the informative lunch to consider how inclusion can be used as a catalyst for building a prosperous and future fit Northern Ireland economy.    Learn more about our ESG Strategy on our website: https://lnkd.in/dkRSCm2N #GA #AsOne #ESG #BUILD
