Glasgow is the only Scottish city to be ranked in the Global Destination Sustainability Index's latest top 20, and one of just two UK destinations – along with Belfast – to be recognised by the world’s most-trusted environmental performance improvement programme.    Our GDS-Index rating is an important affirmation of Glasgow’s status as a leading international destination for sustainable events and tourism. And whilst the city has achieved a great deal toward its goal of being a world-class sustainable destination, we aspire to so much more and are committed to keep driving positive change.

We have published our Annual Review for 2023/24 today. It tells the story of another remarkable year for our charity and demonstrates, more than ever, how important our venues, programmes, events, festivals, and experiences continue to be to Glaswegians and visitors to our city. Fundamentally, it reinforces our belief that culture and sport have the power to transform people’s lives, helping to build happier, healthier, more prosperous and more productive communities.
