    Global Marine Systems Limited (GMSL) is looking for a Depot Manager to oversee all operations at our Subic Depot based in the Philippines. The Depot Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Depot's operations, including the safekeeping of cable and plant assets entrusted to GMSL. This role involves managing all cable and plant movements within the Depot, liaising closely with internal and external customers, leading the Operations Manager and local staff in day-to-day activities. The Depot Manager will be accountable for controlling overhead costs, following compliance with local laws and regulations and maintaining a culture of safety and quality to drive continuous improvement into the Depot’s operational performance. Qualification and skills required • HNC or HND, BTEC or equivalent in engineering discipline. • Sound knowledge of cable movement, jointing, testing and cable handling practices along with specific knowledge relating to plant storage criteria Please note: • Contract type: The successful candidate will be employed under a local contract in the Philippines. • Salary: Compensation will be paid in the local currency. • Medical Insurance: Medical insurance will be provided through a local healthcare provider. • Pension: This role does not include pension benefits. • Visa: Important Notice for Non-Nationals: Please be advised that non-nationals applying for this role will be required to obtain and hold an appropriate work or employment visa, a foreign national who wishes to work in the Philippines must obtain an AEP from the DOLE in order to be eligible for employment.     GMG PEDAL 2024 – Mission Complete! Well done to our amazing GMG cyclists and support crew who successfully completed another PEDAL on Saturday the 14th of September. The team cycled a total of 335km from Chelmsford to Portland in Dorset over 2 days, pedalling to raise much-needed funds for our corporate charity the Ninos Pag-Asa Orphanage in the Philippines.     GMG PEDAL 2024, 13th & 14th September. Best of luck to all our Pedalers, who started their journey bright and early from Ocean House this chilly morning at 6 am. The team of GMG cyclists and support crew of PEDAL 2024, left Chelmsford at first light to cycle over 125 miles through London and onto Winchester. On Saturday 14th, (and for some after a 5km run at Winchester Parkrun) they will take on another challenging 84 miles to reach their destination of Portland, Dorset. This year the team is pedalling to raise much-needed funds for our corporate charity the Ninos Pag-Asa Orphanage in the Philippines. This dynamic role will report directly to the Head of QHSE and DPA and is pivotal in developing, coordinating, and maintaining our company's quality management and compliance systems. The Group Quality and Compliance Co-Ordinator will deliver strategic and operational solutions that effectively address QHSE data, trends and established KPI’s.
