In the past 10 years, Green Home Systems have successfully delivered over 16,500 measures of energy efficieny upgrades to domestic and commerical property. 🏡 We have saved over 500,000 tonnes of Carbon while retrofitting these innovative solutions, projecting Scotland to a cleaner, greener future. ♻️ Over the past 12 months Green Home Systems have been in a cohurt of North Ayrshire businesses to drive towards the decarbonisation of our own companies.📈 We have learned a great deal in our carbon accounting, shared best practices and created real long term relationships with like minded organisations.👷🏼♂️ I want to thank North Ayrshire Council, Net Zero Nation and Ailsa Reliability Solutions Ltd. for committing to such a beneficial programme to help us all become more accountable for our decisions and actions with our carbon accounting.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We have our baseline and a clear vision!☀️ It’s with great pleasure I can share that we have graduated from the Net Zero Nation Accelerator programme and are looking forward to continuing our journey. ✅ #netzero #renewables #greenhomesystems

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted as FINALISTS in this year’s Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for “Ayrshire’s Growth Business of the Year (51+ employees)”. Well done to the other finalists for making the cut and we look forward to the awards ceremony in October.

This month, two of our colleagues from *Green Home Systems* have embarked on a pledge to raise money for *Diabetes UK*. Kevin McFadzean from Kilmarnock and Kris Ballantyne from Irvine are taking on Diabetes UK’s 1 Million Step Challenge. Kevin has shared with us “I was inspired to raise money for Diabetes UK as I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in May 2024 and through the support and advice given to me by Diabetes UK I’ve changed my diet, become fitter and lost almost 2 stone”. While Kris is taking part in memory of his Dad, Arthur, who passed away in January after decades of battling with the illness. “Having seen first-hand the struggle and debilitation Diabetes had caused him over the years, it’s important we raise funds for Diabetes UK to continue their life-changing work.” Kris is also taking part in the upcoming *Edinburgh Kiltwalk* to raise awareness and fundraise. 5 million people in the UK live with diabetes, day in day out. Diabetes is a chronic disease that occurs either when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or when the body cannot effectively use the insulin it produces. Diabetes UK are on a mission to create a world where diabetes can do no harm by providing support to help people to live better with the illness. Diabetes UK’s Million Step Challenge is a virtual event to walk 1,000,000 within 3 months, averaging less than 11,000 steps per day, which started on 1st July and ends at the end of September. Congratulations to Scott Watson of the Carbon Neutral Island Project Cumbrae, and all the team at GHS, for winning the Small Scale Project of the Year at the National Energy Efficiency Awards last Friday. For over a year, Gordon McDill, Andy Naismith and the wider team at GHS have been working closely with Scott and the team at the Carbon Neutral Islands Project, to understand the challenges of alleviating fuel poverty and decarbonising buildings in a rural island locations. With the support of North Ayrshire Council and the local residents on Millport, we have developed an inclusive and collaborative approach that is now delivering for the community.
