About us
Green Light Trust is a registered charity that believes in the power of nature to transform lives. With a core ethos around protection of our natural environment, we bring people and nature together in woodland across East Anglia, UK, delivering:- - Wellbeing and educational courses for adults and children who face personal and health challenges - Team development, leadership and mental health awareness days for businesses Since our formation in 1989, we’ve helped thousands of people challenged with mental health issues, taught skills and self-esteem to children and adults who have become disengaged, and motivated and supported huge numbers of people seeking employment opportunities or an escape from their addictive or abusive pasts. We work closely with businesses to develop their teams and improve staff engagement through our partnership schemes. We also work with schools, funders and community partners to make a real difference to people in the localities in which we operate.

A massive congratulations to Andrew who has completed the NC500 challenge, cycling 500 miles in 7 days! 🎉🎉 "How do I feel? Tired, sore, pleased. Pleased with myself, pleased with the amount of support that I got along the way, and grateful for the amount of money that's been donated. We are hurtling towards £2100 now, which is amazing. I'm really looking forward to getting home and seeing my dog, it's been a week! Might not get on a bike for a few days. Thank you everybody." There's still time to donate and make a difference, please visit Andrew's JustGiving page here: https://lnkd.in/er29fnM4

Let's help him reach his fundraising target of £2,500 and give him plenty of encouragement for the last few days 💚 All donations are greatly appreciated, head over to his JustGiving page to support his campaign: https://lnkd.in/er29fnM4

DAY 3 COMPLETE! ✅ "That was a stunning day!... Day 3 was a massive contrast to the first two days, sunshine throughout even if it was a bit chilly. I had 57 miles planned but finished early so decided to go on and cover some more ground, ended up doing 70 miles with 5000ft of elevation. The views were just amazing." One thing is for sure, that Andrew's positivity and dedication to the challenge are shining! ⭐🌟 He is now 200 miles in, and has completed 12,000 ft of elevation. Another 300 miles and 18,000 ft to go! Donations can be made to his JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/er29fnM4 It's been fantastic to see everyone's kind messages for Andrew. The GLT team and supporters are right behind you 💚

We had a great CPD day last week, with 50 employees joining us at Castan Woods 🌳 Workshops ranged from sustainable fires, listening & trust, and knowing our woodlands - involving a walk through the woods to identify trees, assess their safety, and learn about woodland management. We received lots of positive feedback, and above all, our team enjoyed the chance to connect and spend time together in nature for the day.

DAY 1 COMPLETE! ✅ Andrew has completed 72 miles out of 500, taking him from Inverness to Kishorn 🚴 'Today was the flattest day of the trip. It was wet for most of the day, but it did not dampen my spirits as the views in the second half of the ride were stunning. I have pitched tent and am attempting to dry out a bit, looks like the wet weather is set in for the night and morning tomorrow.' Watch his Day 1 Vlog (link in comments) and please support his incredible challenge by donating to his JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/er29fnM4. Thank you!
