We believe that social enterprise can transform the economic, environmental, social, and cultural life of Glasgow. Our vision is of a dynamic and vibrant social enterprise community that is part of the fabric of the city, and which is central to the way that Glasgow chooses to do business. Our ambition is to create a supportive environment in Glasgow in which social enterprise is able to flourish.

  • What a week! Last Friday, our director Jennifer Robertson attended the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Celebration and Showcase at the Social Enterprise Summit 2024 - a wonderful exploration of Scotland’s vibrant social enterprise community and the incredible work being done to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. The showcase was held in partnership with Dechomai, Pride Outside, Social Enterprise Scotland and Social Investment Scotland. Pictured above is our director Jen with Bayile Adeoti from Dechomai and Ellis Beardsmore from Pride Outside. Along with the great showcases were this year's Social Enterprise Awards, and we are delighted to acknowledge the many nominees and winners from our network! 🏆 Congratulations to our members Ceis, Pride Outside, Sunny Cycles, Govan Community Project, Braw talent, Studio FV and Loco Home Retrofit on their well-deserved nominations this year!   • Join us for our next Members' Meeting tomorrow! For our October Members' Meeting, we’ve chosen the theme of Colliding Cultures. We’ll be focusing on diversity in the social enterprise landscape, and within our own network, along with discussing the strengths and challenges we come up against. Bayile Adeoti from Dechomai will be with us to tell us about the new Ethnic Minority Nework and to discuss the findings of the ACCESS Report - research on barriers for Ethnic Minority social entrepreneurs accessing finance. We will also hear form Empower Women for Change on their new Bridging Communities Project. We will also be joined by one of our newfound members, Bahar from Uplift and Empower, who will tell us about her upcming focus groups in Glasgow.
