Throughout November, we’ll be telling you more about the two main types of pancreatitis, acute and chronic, and the symptoms to look out for. There’s so much to learn about pancreatitis and to help get started, we thought it’d be helpful to tell you more about the pancreas itself! So, what is the pancreas and what does it do? 🤔 #KrankyPanky #Pancreatitis #Awareness #ChronicPancreatitis #AcutePancreatitis #Pancreas Video description: Jade is sat down on a chair in an office that has green walls. About us
Guts UK is the only UK charity funding research into the digestive system from top to tail: the gut, liver and pancreas. We were founded in 1971, known then as the Digestive Disorders Foundation. Since then, we have funded more than 300 projects and invested £16.5 million into medical research, leading to quicker diagnosis and kinder treatments for digestive conditions. At Guts UK, we raise vital awareness of digestive conditions and symptoms, and provide expert patient information and support to those affected.

It’s Kranky Panky Awareness Month!💚 Every November, we shine a light on pancreatitis. It’s a condition that affects the pancreas - a small but powerful gland that produces enzymes for digestion and hormones like insulin. When it becomes inflamed, it can lead to serious complications. This month, Kranky Panky is all about raising awareness together! We’ll share real stories, information about crucial research, and our evidence-based patient information about acute and chronic pancreatitis. The condition can be devastating to those affected and urgently needs more attention. Let’s get to grips with pancreatitis by visiting the link here: https://lnkd.in/eAZY8jQV Please share this post to help us raise the awareness pancreatitis truly deserves. Together, we will get to grips with guts! #Pancreatitis #KrankyPanky #Awareness #Pancreas #GutHealth #Guts #ChronicIllness #AcutePancreatitis #ChronicPancreatitis #DigestiveHealth #GutsUK #GutsCharityUK

Have you thought about writing a Will but aren’t sure where to start? You're not alone! Many people have questions about Wills, and we're here to help. With our partner the National Free Wills Network, you can meet with a local solicitor and write or update your Will for free. You can also amend your Will at any time, ensuring it always reflects your current wishes. You don't have a leave a gift in your Will to Guts UK to use this service. However, we'd be incredibly grateful if it's something you were considering. Our guts have been misunderstood for too long and a gift to Guts UK could enable us to continue providing expert information and support to people with digestive conditions or help to fund future groundbreaking research into the digestive system, leading to earlier diagnoses and kinder treatments for those affected.
