The weekend that was 🍴☀ It was our pleasure to join in the celebrations at this weekend's annual Taste of Nairn foodie festival! This year the indoor events combined with an outdoor market, meaning fellow foodies could make the most of the sun and the shade! It was amazing to see and sample a stallar collection of produce from thriving local businesses, showcasing the very best of what the area has to offer. Along with some amazing cooking and cocktail demonstrations - as well as the Showstopper Cake Contest, co-judged by food star Julia Bryce - our own Kelly Tadd took home 2nd place in the prestigious World Tattie Scone Championships, won by our pal Tracy Chalmers! Haim and Awa is dedicated to sharing our love of local food, drink and produce from the amazing larder in Scotland and the wider UK. We started our Instagram in late 2021 to promote all our wonderful Highland "Haim" has to offer. We felt that more visibility was being generated by more centrally based creators and that us folk further North needed to do some more shouting! We offer our community honest restaurant and destination reviews, budget-friendly scratch-cooking recipes and travel guides both locally and further afield on our "Adventures Awa." Wherever we are, hospitality is always high on the agenda and we’re proud to champion small, independent businesses and the sustainable manufacturers that make each region stand out!
