Project update: Hampstead Grade II extension with TFF Architects Ltd and Cole Management We’ve nearly completed the reinforced concrete shell of the 3.5m deep, 100m2, piled basement to the property. The subterranean extension on the sloped site will form the base for a suspended cast concrete slab for a ground floor extension. The 40-week programme has significant complex structural engineering works including: ~ demolishing the existing rear extension ~ underpinning the property and the basement and ground floor forms. 📢New project: contemporary new build with Stolon Studio We’ve begun work on the 58-week programme to build a 3,500 sq ft home with four bedrooms and six bathrooms in Guildford. The dramatic sloped site has required extensive excavation; its location is challenging as there is no room to manoeuvre, but our experience with similar schemes is serving us well. We’ve poured the raft slabs, cast the retaining walls and established the infiltration basin in the back garden. Brickwork will start in a couple of weeks. The sleek aesthetic of the property focuses on fine detail, with roof tiles from Komproment, complementary architectural elements such as concealed gutters, partnered with long format bricks.
