⭐ Now recruiting ⭐ Hockley House is a new and innovative residential home designed to provide children with local, intensive therapeutic care through a Structured Activity Programme. It will also help children maintain their family and community networks, with the ultimate goal of supporting them to return home, transition to another placement, or move towards more independent living. Hockley House will be revenue funded and run as a multi-agency provision between Hampshire County Council and the Integrated Care Board, with health providers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The business case for the funding has evidenced that Hockley House will offer a cost effective and value for money provision for these children and reduce the need for them to have ongoing expensive high-cost placements. Capital funding for the building has been joint funded by the Department for Education and Hampshire County Council. An existing set of semi-detached properties has been re-developed into accommodation for three young people with complex behavioural and mental health needs. Hockley House will meet the needs of an identified cohort of young people for whom placement stability has been a challenge due to group matching considerations. Accommodating three self-contained bedrooms, each room has been carefully planned to maximise independence and life skills. The home will also have a communal family kitchen, dining area and outdoor spaces. Hockley House will be an Ofsted registered home, with the aim of the home opening early 2025. We are currently recruiting Team Supervisor and Children’s Home Support Worker positions alongside Mental Health practitioner posts. If you believe that you have the skills and passion, and are looking for a new opportunity to work within a multi-agency provision, please take a further look at our recruitment page: https://lnkd.in/epNWKfNh NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight

Introducing the new Workplace Mental Wellbeing Toolkit, created by your local Public Health teams in partnership with the NHS and other public sector, voluntary and community partners. The aim is to support organisations to provide high-quality workplaces that prioritise wellbeing for all employees.  Download it here: https://lnkd.in/e6fsPcvq #WMHD2024 #WorldMentalHealthDay.

This World Mental Health Day it is time to prioritise mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Your local Directors of Public Health and NHS leaders are calling for everyone to take shared responsibility for workplace mental health and wellbeing. From employers to employees, directors to line managers, we are asking everyone to gain the knowledge and speak to each other, to recognise the signs of poor mental health and wellbeing and know where help is available. We call upon you to take action to create healthier, more resilient workplaces where mental wellbeing is a priority for all. Research published earlier this year found that one in five workers (20%) took time off due to poor mental health caused by pressure or stress in the past year. Today we are launching our new Workplace Mental Wellbeing Toolkit, which provides a framework to support people to gain skills, confidence and knowledge on how to protect ourselves and support others. The quick-read online toolkit, developed by local health leaders and representatives of the voluntary sector, collates trusted information into one easy document incorporating available, evidence-based resources. Use it to find free workplace wellbeing training, tools and advice: https://lnkd.in/e6fsPcvq All organisations, regardless of size, benefit from enabling productive environments where everyone can flourish. By addressing workplace mental wellbeing, we can create a more productive, engaged, stable and fulfilled workforce and prevent mental ill health. A mentally healthy workplace is a thriving workplace. A scheme to reduce flooding in Littleton and Headbourne Worthy north of Winchester aimed at protecting homes and reducing the risk of flooding on local roads in future years, is making steady progress and is on track for completion by the end of this year. Find out more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/eBZeh2fr This is an example of our work with the Environment Agency local districts and borough councils, and other key agencies to develop schemes that help to manage the impact of flooding on our communities. Since the widespread groundwater flooding that took place 10 years ago, we've also completed major flood alleviation schemes in Buckskin, Farringdon, Hambledon, Romsey and Winchester. With shifting weather patterns, including wetter winters, flooding is more likely in the coming years, which is why as part of our #HantsFloodAware we're encouraging people to report flooding so we can build a picture of which areas are most at risk and find ways to reduce the impact: https://lnkd.in/erknm_U3
