  • A landmark development in York needed a lender who could take a view.   We delivered a £3.2m exit facility, initially structured at £2.35m and revised to reflect a higher valuation and the inclusion of a £600k unit that had sold but not yet completed—helping to refinance the scheme and release capital for the client’s next project.   With unit prices reaching £1.7m, we assessed the local market carefully, recognising demand from downsizers seeking low-maintenance homes without compromising on space or character.   🗨️ “It’s a great example of how we support brokers with speed, flexibility and a genuinely tailored approach to more specialist schemes,” says Barry Ireland, BDM, Bridging Finance. #BridgingFinance

  • Dearest gentle reader, Society whispers of our appearance on this year’s Bridging & Commercial Awards shortlist… no fewer than eight times.   We’re most delighted to be recognised in the following categories: 🏆 Commercial Lender of the Year 🏆 Specialist Product of the Year 🏆 Best Development Lender 🏆 Large Loan Lender of the Year 🏆 Service Excellence – Lenders 🏆 Best Specialist Bank 🏆 Specialist BTL Lender of the Year   And, our very own Annie C., Regional Account Manager, has been nominated for Lender Relationship Manager of the Year. A most deserving nod to her work.   To the judges, thank you for this recognition. And to our fellow nominees—we look forward to sharing a toast (or two) under the chandeliers.   Until the Bridgington Ball…   Yours truly, Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB)
