This article below highlights some of the reasons 'The Great Resignation 2.0' might be brewing. https://lnkd.in/ePJHnYhr Here's an example of a role in Germany which we are recruiting right now: https://lnkd.in/eHx-44RM

https://lnkd.in/ePY8jhxx - "The Great Resignation 2.0 is simmering as employees feel overworked and underpaid, forcing them to look for greener pastures" Really insightful article by Prarthana Prakash at Fortune.com discussing what our close friends at PwC discovered this week in their 'Global Workforce Hopes & Fears Survey' really caught my attention. All too often we are feeling burnt out and overworked and new technologies like generative #Ai will no doubt increase productivity across the globe but at what cost? We still have to learn and adapt to them first of all and if headquarters of major companies are shifting more products or services by being more efficient or profitable - who picks up the extra workload in the middle or back offices? Or on the production lines or within the supply chain? This article highlights some of the fears that candidates have about being overworked. The effects on mental health or even increased sick leave could end up having the opposite effect on profitability. This now sounds like a shameless plug ruining a potentially good post but it would be against my belief that a healthy workload = a healthy mind, if I didn’t at least tell my Hanami International and wider network that I’m working with a major accounting firm (across various countries including the USA) who genuinely promise this - and have stuck to this promise for many years. They want people who enjoy their lives as much as their jobs. If you a qualified auditor, tax or corporate finance consultant, and a damn hard worker, who potentially reaches maximum output at around 40 hours per week, talk to me please! Yes it’s never going to be fixed at 40 on every single week but earning the same money by doing less hours is surely a win? In more ways than one. When myself, Matthew Harrison and Recruitment Entrepreneur first formed the business in June 2014 (picture below) we noted that there are fairly strict rules in the UK around using the word 'international' in a company name when you register your limited company at Companies House. Apparently - if you wish to use this word as a prefix, you need to show that the major part of the company's activities is in trading overseas. If you wish to use it as a suffix , then approval will usually be given if you can show that the company operates in two or more overseas countries.   As we were international recruiters who had operated in several countries, we felt confident that (at the very least!) we could use it as a suffix.    Having now placed into 127 cities in 42 countries we have decided to rebrand to International Hanami Limited.   Only joking! However, I want to use this opportunity / anniversary to thank each and every past and present employee, (Bradley Alexander Adam Nelson Claire Mason Silviu Todea Nora Farhane Dean Dugas Kevin Wright every candidate, every employer and every one of our investors who have helped us achieve this milestone and make it one hell of a journey.    You know who you are! Thank you! We have learnt so much from everyone who has crossed our paths, and we continue to develop every day.    If you are in the world of audit, accounting, tax or corporate finance and you want to help us during the next ten years - please do connect, reach out, or just remind us that you're there. It will be a pleasure to talk to you.    Thanks again!

Dziękuję, Köszönöm, Xièxiè, Obrigado, Gracis, Efcharistó, Děkuji, Grazie, Bedankt, Merci and Danke! Just some of the words given to Claire Mason and Dean Dugas in the past by grateful employers and candidates in their native tongue. We are delighted to celebrate the joint anniversary of two good friends who have placed countless Tax (Dean) and Corporate Finance (Claire) professionals into so many countries worldwide. Working with some of the most prestigious professional services firms on the planet, they are both true experts in their respective areas. Anyone fortunate enough to have experienced their work-ethic, professionalism, knowledge and kindness will attest to this. As their employers, their colleagues and also as their friends, myself, Matthew Harrison and all of Hanami International want to add one more huge ‘Thank You’ to the above list! We really appreciate you both and thank you for your long term loyalty and friendship.

If you don’t know what the word Wirtschaftsprüfung means then sadly, you are not right for this wonderful opportunity and I shall allow you to keep scrolling. If you have one – or want to have one – and you work in Audit (any level) and you plan to seek out a new and interesting home in 2024. Then please get in touch! I have a wonderful opportunity to be part of a team that is growing at all levels and is happy to prove it’s intent and ambition by rewarding good local auditors with that elusive ‘promotion on arrival’. If all of this sounds appealing but you cannot live in Cologne. Contact me anyway! There are other options in other locations. Not just DE but all over Europe! Also in the USA too for qualified German speakers :) Finally - one of the most beautiful buildings in the world (IMO) is Cologne Cathedral – photo courtesy of Nikolay Kovalenko. Thanks Nikolay!
