Our crofting, rural, and community land experts have advised the Coigach Community Development Company on an acquisition which will see the protection of nearly 8,000 acres of croft land and common grazings in the north west Highlands. Partner Calum MacLeod, one of only two crofting law specialists to be accredited by the Law Society of Scotland and a crofter himself, said: “The protection of croft land is valuable to local economies such as Coigach. It is a part of a trend being repeated across Scotland’s rural communities. It represents what can be achieved when communities come together to determine their futures by addressing local challenges, reversing depopulation and developing local services and amenities.” https://hubs.la/Q02W9m090 Robert Milsom Colleen Kitley #Community #Rural #ScottishHighlands #Preservation COIGACH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMPANY

So proud of our Harper Macleod LLP team! 👏👏 What a brilliant effort from everyone at The Dramathon this weekend—and an extra cheer for our winning relay team. A wonderful way to celebrate 20 years in the Highlands! #TeamHarperMacleod #HM20 #20Years
Huge well done to my colleagues from our Elgin and Inverness offices who joined me in the Harper Macleod LLP teams at The Dramathon this weekend. We couldn’t have asked for better weather and enjoyed Speyside at its best! I feel very lucky to be able to live and work in this beautiful part of the world. Also massive congratulations to my Inverness colleagues, Grant Hassan, Euan Bowie, Janna Macdonald and Sandy Fowler for winning the relay! We are celebrating 20 years in Inverness this year so it was a perfect way to wrap up the day. Will Davidson, Erin Morrison, Robert Milsom, Harper Macleod LLP
