About us
Hawden MEP Ltd is a successful firm of Consulting Engineers, specialising in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) Engineering based in the heart of rural Kent. Founded in 2008 as a Sole Trader business, Hawden-MEP is now a registered limited company and continues to grow through sustained productivity, innovation and our Client focused orientation. We have and continue to work on varied and often prestigious profile projects covering a wide scope within the industry. We are currently working on projects across all main market sectors, ranging from small studies and reports to projects valued at more than £74 million. Hawden-MEP fully appreciate the fact that the detailed M&E design on modern projects is reliant on the outcome of early energy assessment, appraisal of renewable requirements and predicted CO2 emissions. We apply our extensive M&E knowledge into the energy assessment decision making to ensure that the most practical and cost effective solutions are put forward to comply with all of the requirements imposed under current legislation, whether planning conditions, building regulations, BREEAM or CIBSE requirements. Additionally we are involved in many complex and challenging projects, outside of the day to day norm, and as such have developed a unique problem solving ethic in respect of the challenges faced in carrying out our duties. These problem solving skills are borne out of our policy of employing engineers from varied sectors of the industry. This is reflected in our current staff that have joined the practice from both Contracting and Consulting backgrounds, thereby providing our Clients with the benefits of increased commercial awareness and build ability from the early stages of design. Furthermore, as a result of our diverse staff base, Hawden-MEP are happy to be flexible in our approach to meeting our Client’s needs and therefore providing the complete mechanical and electrical services design package.

The Hawden MEP team would like to congratulate our Harry Dady and recognise his hard work in achieving Level 5 Energy Assessor with CIBSE Certification Ltd. Hawden MEP now have two Level 5 Energy Assessors accredited with CIBSE Certification Ltd as well as two On Construction Domestic Energy Assessors (SAP) accredited with Elmhurst Energy. As such, Hawden complete all energy assessments and EPC generation in-house. This allows us to progress design projects through all stages with no requirement for external assessors.
