Our estates team is celebrating a huge success after their Day of Action brought a community in Castleford together.
With the help of our T Level students, environmental team, other partners and residents, the Estates team arranged a litter pick and bulky waste collection at Bryan Close in Castleford.
To get feedback for the future, everyone in the Bryan Close area was given the opportunity to have their say on improvements they’d like to see through an interactive door-to-door survey.
The day was branded a “huge success” with one resident brought to tears after seeing the amount of people on the estate out trying to make a difference.
Sarah Roxby, Executive Director of Housing, said: “The Estate Day of Action was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our customers in the community and hear what it's like for them living on our estates. It’s so important for us as a landlord to listen, understand, and act on customer’s feedback.
“From practical improvements, like litter picking and gutter clearance, to simply having conversations, we want our customers to be proud of their homes and communities, and we are committed to making them clean, safe and vibrant.
“This positive energy and collaboration shows what we can achieve when we work together.”
