🏆Office Olympics 2024🏆 Over the last 2 weeks, we brought the energy of the Paris Olympic Games right into our Colwick offices! Our latest Personal Effectiveness Programme graduates 🎉🎓 The latest cohort of our Personal Effectiveness Programme (PEP) delivered their final presentations this week after 16 weeks of training, and what a group they were! "I have had the privilege of working alongside a truly brilliant group of colleagues as we delved into a wide array of topics as part of our personal effectiveness programme. Together, we explored the principles of positive psychology, the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the workplace, strategies for assertive communication, and the keys to effective time management." says Jo Poyser (she/her), our Learning, Development and Wellbeing Partner. "It has been inspiring to witness the growth and self-reflection of each participant as they applied these concepts to both their professional and personal lives. Hearing their insights and the positive feedback from their managers has been a testament to the hard work and dedication each person has brought to this course." 💗International Women in Engineering Day💗 We're proud of our talented women who play a pivotal role in our Engineering and Technical teams. Their dedication, knowledge and passion is what drives everything forwards and inspires us all every day. In honour of International Women in Engineering Day, we spoke to Emma Beresford, our Quality Technician and Katie Tang, our Production Engineer. "I have always been interested in how things work in the technical department, so when an opportunity came up for a Quality Technician, which sounded fascinating and totally different from what I had been doing, I went for it. I have now been in my current role for seven years, and the Quality and Technical team have always been so helpful in furthering my knowledge of our products and advising solutions to problems. I have never had any issues being a woman working in engineering and would recommend it highly" says Emma. "From a young age, I have been fascinated by science and mathematics. Working in a role that aligns with my interests makes each day engaging and fulfilling. As a woman in Production Engineering, I find my role extremely rewarding. I have the opportunity to optimise manufacturing processes and contribute to new product launches.
