British Gas Energy Trust provides a vital service for families and individuals struggling with energy debt. On top of grants to help in the short term, the Trust is working with us to supply smart product bundles to some customers, to give them the tools to stay out of debt in the future. As part of this trial, the first bundle including smart thermostats, plugs and thermostatic radiator valves has been installed. This is just the beginning of our efforts to help customers track their usage, reduce bills, and work towards #NetZero together. We attended the Housing Industry Link North-West today, which brought together industry professionals in the housing sector to find innovative solutions towards achieving net zero in the North West region. We enjoyed participating in engaging panel discussions at the event. Our very own Lisa Bunting talked about the need for flexibility in the energy transition to support the grid and how consumers can benefit from demand side response, using real examples of how social housing companies can engage today. David Boynton emphasised the necessity of taking the supply chain and residents on a net zero education journey, as well as addressing the need for retrofitting social housing to enhance energy efficiency and contribute to meeting net-zero targets. #EnergyTransition #DemandSideResponse #SocialHousing #Sustainability #NetZero
