Thursday 6th February is the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation. More than 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone female genital mutilation. This year, nearly 4.4 million girls will be at risk of this harmful practice. This equates to more than 12,000 cases every day.* Our programme Football to Protect Vulnerable Women from Exploitation uses football as a tool to educate men, women, girls and boys on gender based violence through two newly created curriculums. Find out more about the programme and how it's already reached more than 600 people in four African countries: Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
