2025 is quickly coming into focus, and with it the annual need for pay reviews and strategic planning for the year ahead. ⏰ Pay Transparency has added some extra complexity for HR and Reward leaders this year, with the 'do we?', 'don't we?' and 'how do we?' questions looming equally heavy over those within and outside of the mandated EU Directive (here's looking at you, UK businesses 👀). The truth is, there's no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to Pay Transparency. Finding the right way forward takes putting in the right level of preparation – from impact and gap analysis, through to planning a watertight internal comms strategy. One thing that is certain is that the tides are changing, and those that don't act soon will likely fall out of step of the competition. Earlier this year, we spoke to Rachel Gibbs about the steps companies can take to start preparing now. You can watch the full webinar back 🎥 in the link in the comments 👇

In case you missed it in the news the NLW is set to rise in 2025 by c6% to £12.10 per hour. The Low Pay Commission has recommended the increase after new Labour ministers altered its remit after taking power. Currently the £11.44ph national living wage (NLW) is the threshold for workers aged over 21, with lower rates for these aged 18 to 21. The lowest is £8.60. But ministers have told the LPC to also gradually bring up the rate for under 18s up to meet the NLW, while still increasing the headline rate. It will deliver its recommendations In October for the NLW rise to come into effect in 2025. But in a recent report it projected that it would be between £11.82 and £12.39. We will be using our live pay data platform to track the impact of this change in 2025 as we have done this year (report will be published soon) To get access to the 2024 report and how to get free trial access to our platform message or leave an emoji below.
