Here, Sheppard Robson partner Anna Shapiro sketches the memorable features of our tall residential building that is part of The Earls Court Development Company’s Earls Court masterplan, a once-in-a-generation opportunity to unlock a complex site and transform a currently derelict part of London. It’s rare to design a true landmark building – one that is both familiar at a distance and helps define a place. Balancing city-wide and local impact, the building includes a generous podium base that shapes the “Cascade” series of new public spaces. The civic-minded design is rooted in the park setting, blending into its landscape and helping shape an Earls Court for everyone. As ever, a project of this ambition and scale hinges on collaboration, with our work informed by a partnership with the client, masterplanners, and the architects working with us on the Hammersmith & Fulham part of phase 1, Serie Architects and dRMM. #earlscourt #redevelopment #residentialdesign #masterplanning #sketch

About us
ID:SR makes spaces that put people at the heart of the design. As a studio of interior design specialists and architects, we have grown out of Sheppard Robson and freely collaborate with the wider collective while retaining our independent spirit. For us imagination and empirical thinking go hand in hand. We are adept at using creativity to resolve organisational challenges, helping our clients – with whom we often have longstanding partnerships – to bring about change by translating their vision into beautiful and useful spaces. Our approach starts with the use case, and then employs pure design expertise to balance emotion and economy, hearts and minds. The activity-driven spaces we design celebrate organisational culture and identity, while supporting the individual. Organisations are organisms, endlessly reconfiguring, so as well as responding to the culture that binds them, we also design for the social, creative and career wellbeing of each person within an organisation. By making spaces that map and anticipate diversity, everyone can feel part of the whole but liberated to navigate it in their own way.

What a fantastic morning at the Workspace Design Show London. It was great reminiscing on a fantastic project with Devinder Bhogal and Helen Berresford, discussing shaping workplaces that stand the test of time. We are so proud of what we achieved with Deloitte at 1 New Street Square. A definitive project for our team and one that embodies workplace design that truly builds a sense of belonging. To top it all off, one of our fabulous designers Nikos Papapetrou designed the entrance to the show. Great event!

We’re thrilled to be part of the Workspace Design Show once again! This year, we’re designing the show’s entrance—an immersive experience featuring silhouetted forms that playfully animate luminous screens. Reflective surfaces, natural textures, and dynamic forms come together to celebrate the life cycle and enduring value of materials. Beyond the entrance design, we’re also excited to take part in the Workspace Design Talks, where industry leaders will explore the latest trends in workplace design, strategy, and culture. Helen Berresford will be joined by Devinder Bhogal, Director of Workplace Strategy at Deloitte, for a thought-provoking discussion on ‘Shaping Workplaces that Stand the Test of Time’. It promises to be a fantastic event—we look forward to seeing you there!

Our newly established specialist graphics and branding team, GRAPHIC:SR, has been shortlisted in the Transform Awards Europe 2025 alongside our long-term collaborator BBC Workplace. The prestigious international awards have named BBC and GRAPHIC:SR on the shortlist in the Best Wayfinding category for the strategic updates to BBC Broadcasting House, which allow the broadcaster to cater for changing working styles and further promote sustainability and inclusivity. A key part of shaping how people experience the spaces was improved wayfinding and graphic artwork, which aligned with the BBC’s new brand language. These integrated and efficiently delivered improvements were made possible by our ongoing close collaboration between our graphic designers, interiors designers and the BBC client team. What a (Green) Week! 🌿🌳 This was our tenth year of establishing a week of events to bring us together and put sustainability front and centre. This year's theme was Urgency in Action, and we learnt so much in a week packed with events, including talks on intersectionality and the fundamental inequalities related to the climate crisis globally and in the UK; we heard about the role finance can play in driving this change and how we as designers can use our agency to support this; we reconnected with biophilia, toured exemplar buildings and projects, raised money for charities, and watched thought-provoking films. We also found time to have light-hearted moments playing games and connecting with our colleagues! We welcomed people into our London studio for our Accelerating Action panel discussion which focused on actions we can be taking now, next steps needed to accelerate these and some inspiring examples. A huge thank you to our sustainability group for leading this and to everyone who helped make it a success. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗖𝗢 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀! Thrilled to share that it was a great night at the BCO National Awards last night, with 2019 BCO National winner Deloitte 1 New Street Square bagging the 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱! Alongside this, TTP plc’s new campus won 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 as well as the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. The judges commented about Deloitte HQ’s win: “Undoubtedly, 1 New Street has more than stood the test of time and will for years to come.” This is a brilliant result for both projects and a great opportunity to celebrate the teams that brought the projects into being.
