About us
Founded in 1998, Impax is a specialist asset manager investing in the opportunities arising from the transition to a more sustainable global economy. Impax believes that capital markets will be shaped profoundly by global sustainability challenges, including climate change, pollution and essential investments in human capital, infrastructure and resource efficiency. These trends will drive growth for well-positioned companies and create risks for those unable or unwilling to adapt. Impax offers a well-rounded suite of investment solutions spanning multiple asset classes seeking strong risk-adjusted returns over the medium to long term. Impax manages funds and accounts in five areas: actively managed long-only equity, fixed income, systematic equities, multi asset, and new energy infrastructure. Impax has offices in the United Kingdom, the United States, Ireland, Denmark, Hong Kong and Japan, approximately £36.9 billion in assets under management and has one of the investment management sector’s largest investment teams dedicated to sustainable development. Impax Asset Management reposted this
Great to represent Impax Asset Management on the stage at #PRIinPerson today in my new role as the firm's Principal Economist. It's easy to get jaded about thousands of people flying around the globe to talk about #sustainability, but it remains a critical tool for building coalitions of forward-looking #investors prepared to navigate an uncertain future. On a more personal level, it's great to see colleagues in the industry doing incredible work to advance our understanding of #climaterisk, like my friend Aniket Shah, PhD Looking forward to another packed day tomorrow! #sustainablefinance

During #ClimateWeekNYC, Ed Farrington, AIF®, President, Impax North America took to the stage at the Financial Times Future of Asset Management event, speaking to how we can bridge the climate change data gap. Investors can uncover risks by defining exactly what they are, and how they can impact business operations. In our latest Insight, Julie Gorte dives into this topic deeper, explaining what information is needed to improve physical climate risk and pricing. Read more >> https://ow.ly/PMj650TCaYb

We were proud to lead this project with State Street for the Sustainable Markets Initiative. Through a series of interviews with the CIOs of a dozen major asset owners, we developed five key steps on how to integrate climate risks and opportunities into investment decisions. We hope to kickstart conversations with the asset owner community and provide practical steps for asset owners and managers on how they can approach this complex topic.
