Danielle Heward has been a member of In Business more or less since she started her business almost 5 years ago and takes our #MemberMonday spot today. She started her career in hospitality and has had various roles in consultancy, business change and transformation with some large complex organisations such as Capita, the NHS, StepChange Debt Charity and Highways England. Danielle set up her company, in October 2019 and last year went through a re-brand to Optimo | Certified B Corp. She now uses her expertise to help organisations improve and grow, helping leaders save time and money. She looks at how a business can be more effective with their processes, people, and systems. Helping them to identify opportunities to improve and put the infrastructure and systems in place. Danielle wants to make a difference and knows that working with purpose-driven and sustainability or environmental-focused companies she can remain true to her values. Working with new businesses means she can help to implement infrastructure and put systems in place right from the start, but equally she can work with established businesses where problems have been identified or things could be done better. This weeks #MemberMonday is Kelly Dungworth of Forget Me Not Children's Hospice. Kelly, a former teacher has become one of the Regional Fundraisers for FMN and loves the feeling of giving back, working to make a difference. The Hospice delivers a fantastic range of services, and they do it so well that the CQC rates the children’s hospice as ‘outstanding’. Russell House is a state-of-the-art children’s hospice building in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, is the heart of all of their services. It’s a real home from home, where everyone is made very welcome. If children and families can't make it to the hospice, virtually all of our services are available in the comfort and convenience of their own home, including clinical care for the child, counselling, help with household chores, and even looking after the children while parents take time out. They offer a wide range of services, available at home, at Russell House, or even in hospital. They cover everything from the time around pregnancy & birth to transitioning into adulthood and end-of-life care.
