About us
One in nine people in the world are hungry today, but it doesn't have to be this way. Hunger is the world's greatest solvable problem because there is enough food in the world for everybody to have the nourishment necessary for a healthy and productive life, but not everyone has access to it. We are a grant-making charity which aims to change this. Since 2004, we've funded many incredible charities to help hungry people, giving over £10m to 96 projects around the world, and reaching over 1.8m hungry people. We are a corporate foundation, funded by innocent drinks.

Research by Action Against Hunger UK, supported by innocent foundation and published here (https://lnkd.in/dnxsUcvy) found that when #CommunityHealthWorkers supervise #hungrychildren to a higher degree, recovery rates improve. Supporting higher-intensity supervision could be a cost-effective approach if efficiency is optimised.

Last week we distributed 12,000 mango seedlings to farmers in Kilifi County! 🌱 With the long rains continuing, our field officers have now distributed a total of 32,000 seedlings, bringing joy to many happy farmers. We were honored to have staff members from A.N. Kamau & Co Advocates join us, generously donating 600 seedlings to the farmers and Sokoke Boys High. Building on Sokoke Boys' High's achievements in our cashew nut project, we're excited to expand our partnership and bring mango seedlings to their school! The distribution coincided perfectly with the national tree planting day for schools. Our mission continues with a target of distributing at least 70,000 seedlings and engaging 1,000 farmers. Now it's time to plant, nurture, and wait for the fruits. 🍃 With generous funding and support from the Innocent Foundation, Sote Hub is dedicated to rebuilding a sustainable and profitable agro value chain in Kilifi. A heartfelt thank you to the innocent foundation and A.N. Kamau & Co Advocates for their incredible partnership and support.🌱🍋
