Three years ago, we took a leap into 3D drainage modelling, and we haven’t looked back. What started as an innovative approach has now become standard practice, driving efficiency and improving coordination across all our major projects. We are working with Neilcott Construction Limited on one of our example projects, Farm Lane Fulham, where 3D drainage has been invaluable in coordination between disciplines.

About us
Founded in 1999, Integral Engineering Design are collaborative structural and civil engineers with offices in Bath and London working throughout the UK. We want our engineering to leave the world in a better place. Working on a variety of projects, we strive for a social benefit, happy building users, improved environmental impact and pushing engineering boundaries to add value. We enjoy building relationships with clients and all members of the design team to make the journey to delivery a positive experience. Every project is run by highly motivated teams led by a Director and their experience brings many benefits especially with regard to confident and effective problem solving. In order to provide stability to the project our teams are consistent and responsive throughout. We understand the importance of bringing projects in on time and to budget and all of our staff have a keen interest in sustainable design. As well as new buildings Integral have a strong reputation for creative re-use and conservation work. Two of our engineers are on the Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineering (CARE). This and our experience on many heritage frameworks means clients can be confident that our conservation expertise is of the highest standard.

What fantastic footage from Morgan Sindall Construction. It really puts the scale of this project into perspective and the student accommodation looks stunning throughout. The stats speak for themselves - really proud to have shared the journey of this project with everyone involved.

It was wonderful to connect with so many friends and peers from across the industry at the 2025 Conservation Accreditation Register for Engineers (CARE) Conference in Bath! It was a pleasure to present and share some of our recent projects, including the Clore Learning Centre & Bath World Heritage Centre and the Bath Assembly Rooms, and to take attendees around both buildings to see the conservation work. A big thank you to Chris Gross and Margaret Cooke for representing Integral as CARE-accredited engineers and contributing to the discussions on best practices in conservation engineering. A further thank you to Nick Winn for helping us lead the tours and to ex-colleague Kim Rochard, now at Historic England, for sharing her final project at Integral with the conference. We're already looking forward to next year’s event and more insightful conversations! #CARE2025 #ConservationEngineering #HeritageProjects #Bath

Tuesday was World Engineering Day (yes, that’s a thing!). To celebrate, Integral Engineering Design Associate Amanda Constantinesco wrote an inspiring article for The Institution of Structural Engineers, sharing her journey into structural engineering, her role models, and career highlights.
Really chuffed to share a bit about my career journey for the IStructE. It’s been a rewarding path filled with challenges and growth. Grateful for the experiences and the support along the way. Have a read here: https://lnkd.in/ebzn8TjR

Not our usual kind of project but one that still requires proper structural engineering. A playful structure for a playful place! Integral Engineering Design Matthew Blaza LDA Design

Great to see this project reach completion and we’re proud to have played a part in its journey. This new workshop and teaching facility will be an inspiring hub for future engineers to learn and innovate. #StructuralEngineering #EngineeringEducation
Executive Director (Consultancy; Operations; Estates; Facilities) | I give others the opportunity to do their best work, and empower them to go further
Last week saw the handover of our second building from Willmott Dixon. Our new engineering workshop complements the new teaching building, which recently opened, with motorsport engineering being at the heart of it. We look forward to seeing the building fully open for teaching and research shortly.

Excited to be part of The Engineers Reuse Collective The reuse of buildings is gaining momentum and by working together, we can push the boundaries of low carbon design and significantly reduce the environmental impact of our built environment. Looking forward to learning and contributing!
With their strong ethos for reuse and net zero design, we are delighted that Integral Engineering Design have joined the Collective. Looking forward to having them onboard and helping accelerate reuse across the built environment. https://lnkd.in/d4W-2vEX #wasteleas #reusemore #collaboration

Brilliant photos of the recently completed Emmanuel Community School. A great addition to Beam Park and the local area. We're proud to have been involved on this project.
The Emmanuel Community School, part of the Beam Park development in Rainham, will provide 420 primary, 30 nursery and 12 SEN places when it opens it's doors next year. The Nicholas Hare Architects designed building was built by KIER Construction.
